and a K&N panel filter on the street.

Kill it with fire.

Oiled filters should not be anywhere near an AFM, and I have had better results with Blitz style cotton elements, they flow 500 odd kw.

Where would one purchase said blitz style cotton element?

Best bet would be Ebay, US is very cheap if you can find a decent postage rate. Greddy do a good one, even a Drift one would work well I guess.

Thanks mate, I'll be changing mine soon and I think the ones I've been using have had oil on them because I'm cleaning my AFM every 2000ks because of misfire (and yes it's 110% the AFM that's the culprit) either that or it's rooted.

There is a LOT more surface area on an OEM style paper filter than any aftermarket cotton or oiled style panel I have seen. I'm not surprised they flow well.

That's what I'm sayin, for the $10-$15 for a paper filter why would 1 bother with a $100+ fancy after market brand name filter if the cheapo paper one will flow the same but have 0 issues with oiling and filtration

Hardly $100, cotton panels are $20 in the states, we just get raped with retail prices. Autobarn tried to sell me a BMC panel for the Evo for $130 the other day.

Bucker, 20 uckers for the cotton filter, how much for freight from the states cause those farkers see Aus and slam up the postage

Yeah $150 odd I paid for the K & N shitter then had to get the compressor out and blow off the excess oil, THEN Pauly tells me he runs the paper jobby :(

I got angry at my shitty homo Five O Motorsport Injectors.. so I just ordered a top feed kit with Siemens DEKA IV 875cc injectors... broke now.

been getting around 180km to 200km per tank of E85 - just had enough of that bullshit economy

wasnt saying that.

the shit on someone else part meant that the guy who sold them to you f**ked you over, hopefully you would tell buyers what to expect.

no offense intended, but zero f**ks given if it was taken.

    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
