Ryan can you put me down on the reserve list, I'll decide after I see how the car pulls up from this track day at winton this weekend.

Cheers

Dan i'll do you a deal, i'll drag my car to winton this weekend if you come to deca in august.

your hooked on the track drifting now arn't ya? i don't think i'll be sleeping till sunday as i keep braking my trailer and ive got other issue's to sort out before my next outing which is why i'm not looking forward to it.

Hah, I'm on the reserves list for deca so if I don't break the car this weekend I'm there

I'm not interested in drift much that was just a shake down of the car.

I'm interested in track though and have had the bug for years (R33 GTS-T and R33 GT-R V-Spec) but I got out of cars for a bit...

See you at Winton if you can make it :O

Hey mate, ill need you to shoot me an entry form still. If you break your car then i will take you off. Cheers

Looks like I'm the only FWD so far

Think I'm the only NA of the potential turbo cars.

There's a Commodore, MX5 and a BMW but none of those have turbo big brothers. Was hoping there'd be at least one GTS.

No worries, will send through when I'm at home as my licenses are there.

i'm going to have to retract that last comment dan, as i have 2 broken pistons :P and i'd continue but i'll stop before somebody pulls out a tiny violin.

Dave: Hmm, well see what you can do in the next 2 weeks :P

Ryan: Can you confirm you got my entry? I might change that from a reserves to a full entry, is it as easy as just paying the entry fee and letting you know?

I'll go ahead once I've got confirmation from you (or Bec?)

If Leigh comes you won't be.... come on Leigh you know you wanna :(

ok I have been looking at the printed forms for over a week now.....to be honest I'm a little concerned, some of you seem to take this very seriously?

The only thing serious about DECA is that it's seriously fun (to the power of awesome squared)

:D

    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
    • Good luck on the weekend mate
    • Must have been an absolute nightmare to drive when the power steer was out, the rack ratio/wheel size/caster is all set up for power assistance
    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
