me and my mate had just came outta a maccas drive thru having a random convo, driving back thru the carpart a chick and her b/f crossed the road then shouted (to friends i guess??) "what are you waiting for", my mate who had been in a convo with me quickly poped his head out the window and yelled "headjobs!" he popped his head back in and resumed talking after a bit of a laff. the b/f didnt look very impressed :)

  • 4 weeks later...

Being a "P" Plater myself i have heard a fair bit, mostly from commie drivers, and supprisingly fairly often its chicks in commies that think there cars are sooooo good, i dont race often coz i cant afford to lose my lisence (or my baby) but when i do i usually dont bother with commies unless they really need a lesson in hair dryer power, the other thing i notice alot is if u beat a commie and then drive on a bit, they will get up 2 about 120km/h and rocket past like they are proving something, personally i think the only thing they are proving is that 120 is their vehicles top speed

when i went to work in s15 which was kitted and very loud the parking attedant came out and asking about the car .......her said something like how fast does it go i told him the1/4 i did etc and he look confused , he put his head inside the car and saw the changed nismo dash and saw 320km max speed and he went my friend gtr only goes up to 180km your car must be fast, i just smiled at him

later i find outr he takes the bus

The funniest thing that has been said to me (more so written to me) was a little note popped on my windshield from our next door neighbour. It went something along the lines how my car was too loud and that it sounded like a truck everytime I came back at night. Pfft!! She was always trouble anyway, my car isn't THAT loud!! :)

bah i get heaps off comonwhore drivers coming home on the great western a guy in a ss pulls up and and we race i left him for dead

i stop at the set of lights and look at him he goes yeh but lets see that thing towing a caravan i just laughed at him

and another time a guy in a s13 pulls up to me at a set of lights he says nice car petty theres to much of em around i just replied yeh s13 are pretty rear as well ay he just shut up and drove off

...I was hammered with "buy a shitbox first so if you crash it.. etc etc"

But i came to the conclusion that if i buy a shitbox.. thats exacly how ill treat it.. like shyt

I wanted to buy something i respect, love and admire as my car.

I got that, and look after it better than i do myself hehe...

I've got to agree with you there; quite a few people have told me to buy some sh*tbox car and that'll I'll crash a Skyline. But, like you've said: I'd treat a sh*tbox like sh*t. With a Skyline, I'd treat it like a god. Unfortunately, people don't see that and just think: 16yo + Skyline = crash. Which, I suppose (sadly enough) is resonable considering the idiots on the roads now-days.

And, seriously, this thread is pure gold.

I was at Motorvation (Sunday the 18th), and the commentators were trying to see who had the loudest fans - there were shouts of "Holden".. "Ford" ... "Holden" etc.. until there was a slight lull in the audience. Some quick-witted bogan promptly yelled out "F*ck the Ford fans." Damn that was funny.

I've had some cool shit yelled at me at the lights:

Whats that thing on your dash? is it a tv???

Farkk, does it play dvds???

Nice, how much did u pay for that?

I also had a pulsar SSS try and take me yesterday, that was fun to watch :)

Iv got a stockish looking vs commodore but have droped a rb25det in it.

Done some mods and have beatten alot of trafic light heros , usely its " WHAT THE FU#K"

vs clubsport: "whats in that" me: "I dont know its my mums car" works well when he was trying to impress the girls in the back.

some guy in a car park: "whats in that " me: " 4 seats and a steering wheel"

vy ss after he caught up: " ecotec my ass"

"whats in that" after killing a vs ss with a only milk and jucie come in to liters, me:

"harf a liter of milk 2 ltr's of Oj, " he smiled and i got the fealing he was going to take the sticker off.

Man theres so many i have heaps of fun :D

lol this post is pretty funni i have to admit hahahah

ummmmmm i was once parked in the city outside the entertainment centre..jus waitin for my friend rite...and then a whole bunch of 16?17?year tourist walk up to my car and yell "mad car mate, rev it hard" and "very very nice man.." and another "omg its a skyline"

and then they cross the road and the most funny shit happened to me..lol "they get out there camera and yelled "SMILE" and i was on the fone and jus gave them a big V and a smile lOL...afta dat i was like WTF jus happeneD ? lol this was like a few weeks afta i got my skyline as well and i was like wow...this car attracts attention lol..

and i get a lot of "how much it cost", "wow nice car man" when im at the drive through at macca's or kfc...

But seriously, i think skylines is one of the most noticible cars there is, like EVERYONE turns aroudn when you drive past.......it attracts so much attention, i cant believe it...........

LOL u guys cracked me up! I've had a few males inparticular ask if my R33 is my dads car...lol az sif.. though dad looks beta when he's speeding.. pulls the wrinkles back lol

last week i had 2 p platers perving at the car or my clevage... either one ... and actually ran off the freeway into a tree... i felt sorry for them so i chucked a u turn and went to their aid... car f**ked but they ok.. they had the reddest face and they were so embarrassed they wouldn't even take my offer up of a lift.. lol another time i have a vr stock 6 commode hounding for a sprint.. i LOL as u do ... my come back "i've already peeled ya paint and we aint moved yet!" he's come back " what?" lol f**ken knob jockeys.. and the usual question from unaware petrol heads... " does it go fast? " oh & i have a rather loud stereo.. dad's question " does the stereo make is go faster?! "

keep it up guys this is funny sh*t ( . )( . )

I had a car full of kids pull up next to us last night (my fiancee was driving.... very slowly as usual :) ) - they were asking if it drifted, they also asked us to do a burnout... and they didn't stop asking that even tho i told 'em it was 4WD... anyhoo.. bec gave it a little squirt from the lights, they were overjoyed! :)

Christian

I stopped at an intersection in the middle of the night. There were about 6 council workers about to dig up the road. The had closed up the road and set up a detour. I asked them if it was ok to drive over their close up section.

They said I'd be the last one for the whole night and I could only drive over it if I 'drifted over' it in my fully sick GT-R (yeah right).

So I punched it into 1st, dropped the clutch and slid the car sidesways thru their closed off intersection.

I could see the guys in the rear vision mirror giving me the thumbs up thru the tyre smoke.

Hey it was a closed road!

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
