A couple of Gum trees around my house are a little worse for wear, the poor things.

Got off pretty lucky here in Greensborough, but was a little stressed about branches and shit so moved the 33 out of harms way anyhow.

Muther fucker!

I need a new windscreen.

Got 7 dents on my bonnet and a ding above my front left indicator (next to the headlight).

Roof has about 3 dents in it.

FUCK YOU MELBOURNE SHITTY WEATHER!

Paintless Dent Removal is a 1st option.

i was in rowville and it was pretty nasty - i rekon some were easily bigger than golf balls.

my old mans cars copped two broken mirrors, my uncles vs is destroyed, sever hail damage all and cracked windscreen.. definately a write off.

then there's his house... about 10 broken tiles, water comin through the cieling, skylight gone both on the roof and the kitchen.. not pretty.

luckily the gtr was in the garage.

My friend who is a supervisor in claims at Just Car just called me to check on my car.. both of her cars got damaged.

She said that it's covered under insurance and if there's a big enough state wide claim, they may choose to waive excess fees for everyone.

i think i got off so fkn lucky. was heading to the city and just passing thru hawthorn when the hail suddenly hit. fkn panicked as i could hear it smashing away on the bonnet and roof, plus the big ones exploding on my windscreen. every bloody servo and bridge had cars under it already but was lucky to find refuge in the loading bay for australia post. it was so loud under there i couldnt hear myself talk

in the end absolutly no damage, the hail where is was pea sized, with the occasional ice cube size. come back to the s.e suburbs n cars with tape and cardboard covering the windows everywhere. some nasty dints too, could have killed someone

Yeah right...

How did your car go?

Haha well I wouldn't believe it either but she was just telling me the possibilities, it's not her decision to make but it's happened before.

I think my car was lucky enough to cop the small hail when it first hit in the northern suburbs. From what I can see there's no damage, but it's hard to tell right now in the light and with the car still dripping wet.

Sorry to hear about your car :D hope the repairs go smoothly.

It's still thundering a lot out this way but the rain just stopped not long ago. Hopefully the worst is over.

My GTR is covered in dents.............nothing I could do but watch in horror out the window at work, I probably would've been killed if I went out there, the ice was just massive

Ironically today's my birthday....how fitting :D

Any places people can recommend to get repairs done?

FUCKING hail. Picked up my brand new D1R wheels today with the intention of making my car look good. Came back from a trip up to Belgrave with dents all over my roof. All look pullable with no paint chips, but fuck, what a way to ruin a good day for me. Sounds like some of you copped it much worse. I saw some poor bastard driving along in the rain without a rear window and the rain just pouring into their car. It was hell getting off the mountain with all the traffic and floods and debris everywhere. Anyone know what excesses are like for hail damage? Might be worth just paying a panel beater to do it.

Group buy on dent pulling lol, good idea, someone will be willing to take us all on.

muhahaha time to buy up some financial writeoff cars. fuck yeah. I <3 hailstorms.

there were a few hailstones in our front yard. 32 and s14 were in the garage, and the hailstones weren't big enough to dent the ceffy and maxima.

puppy copped a hailstone to the back while taking a dump in the front yard... altho he spent the rest of the arvo chasing hailstones and licking ice. retardo dog.

Can anyone Give a ballpark figure as to what it will cost to get hail damage fixed? My bonnet and Roof copped it the worst. everything else seems O.k.. I also have to get new front and Rear windows :D..

my insurance doesn't cover hail damage

I think your insurance will cover for a windscreen.

    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo. I just put over 7000k USD to "LINK" up my engine...dont want to blow it up with cheap turbo 😄     EDIT: https://www.cj-motor.com/gcg-turbo-charger-for-nissan-rb20det-rb25det-high?srsltid=AfmBOooVeOZ6CZ6r1AIv5m-KPaa6BvudIPJTY8LW78khkd-gQlsaCht9 I looked at this and it seems ok? It is that CGC hybrid and it costs around 1250 USD (with back shipping). Do any of you have experience with this hybrid on NEO turbo? I quickly look thru the forum/web and it seems very good.

    • It's funny, as Ive seen plenty of people use them in cheap builds on YT. And they actually go okay, even though a lot of other maxspeedingrods stuff is terrible. Those turbos seem reliable enough, the only part being, a good quality turbo that is "identical" to it, will out perform it day in and day out. In both a lower boost threshold, and the ability to flow more air at the same boost pressure. As a cheap cheap replacement, not a terrible choice. For cheap and shouldn't blow in a day, not terrible (like other eBay/Temu turbos) for low cost and still decent performance, that's where the question comes in to play from the results I've seen. I'd actually find it hilarious to buy one, and strap it to a paddock basher or some other cheap as POS originally NA car, and send it to the moon!
