the pic is a home made setup. the ebay link is to a mass manufactured setup that's already been imported from the US.

leave the turbos for sixes, superchargers for eights

why? a 5.7L V8 350 chev with twin turbo makes about 500kw pretty easily.

also, you might wanna part your vast worldly knowledge on forced induction theories to AMG, because they just announced the new AMG SLK will be powered by a 5.5L twin turbo V8.

ghetto forced induction is where it's at

bring on

- turbochargers at the rear diff

- external wastegate welded onto the turbocharger housing

- single turbocharger on v6 with psycho exhaust manifold

- blank plate on the turbocharger CHRA assembly to remove the compressor N/A style

nope you can have turbocharged carby

its called either

suck through

or blow through

either turbocharger in front of the carby

or after the carby

its pretty complicated and a big mess

and you cant run an intercooler (mixed oxygen and mixed fuel = bomb inside an intercooler core)

ive looked at it before with a friend who had an old torana and got a to4 kit for it

I know, I built my own blow through carby system on a 4AC engine about 4 years ago.

we're talking huge amounts of boost though, which will usually end up forcing the fuel backwards on max boost, starving the engine and sending everything to shit.... so most guys switch to EFI to avoid that.

suck through is where you can't cool the air, and is prone to splode!

because i love the sound of a supercharger. although, you are right. turbo's are better.

on another note: dont you guys hate it when a customer comes in and expects you to kiss his ass? then gets all pissed, abusive and defensive when you reject their offers

Did you offer to lick, and he got offended?

no, i told him that all second hand items do not come with a warranty

yeah try less to push the complimentary rim job next time, might improve your customer service experience.

i tried it last time, tasted like shit. maybe i should spiderman, oh teach me the ways of the spiderman oh funky one.

You basically just gave him the okay to throw jizz in your face. Nice.

I'm gonna go before this thread gets any gayer. Later peoples :)

    • Yea - I mean I've seen my fuel pump which is decades old and uh, while I'm not saying this with real knowledge... but I sure get the ick at using anything in the fuel system that produced the state of that pump. Many years ago I went through multiple pumps (and strainers) before I dropped the tank to clean it out with extreme violence. I'm talking the car would do maybe 50km before coming to a halt, which resulted in me cleaning out the filter with some brake cleaner and going on my way. None of my stuff ever looked like what came out of your fuel tank. I don't think I'd be happy with it unless every single component was replaced (or at least checked/cleaned/confirmed to be clean here).
    • I'm not going to recommend an EBC pad. I don't like them. Just about anything else would suit me better. I've been using Intima pads for a while now.
    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
