the important thing is, are you going to paint it canary yellow, dump its arse on stockies and install one of those fake exhaust flutters? :)

we all know it would go harder down bell street

hahaha yeah owning a house has its ups and downs... still more ups tho.

ie. mine is now valued at over 100k more then what i paid for it 4 years ago... cant really argue with that.

hehe certainly looking forward to that part of home ownership :) Need to do some renovating to help things along. Think I've finished my plans in the regard though.

What do you do Justin? Its funny cause here the contractors dont really get any more then perms depending on their role.

anyone here have a HP DV4T?

bought one not long ago, should arrive tomorrow or monday.

250gb hdd

win 7

4gb ram

amd x2 dual core, 2.0 ghz

blue tooth and all that other shit

really know f**k all about comps.

so, anyone have a positive review about them?

LOL i love society, I'm a hoon because i own a skyline, on my P's, and have a sub, yet i've had one speeding fine in my whole history of driving (finish p's in about 10 months) that was when i darted out my driveway (i live on nepean hwy) and got caught by a camera about 200m from my house

Awesome!

Love the E50's.

So you got the 3.3lt V6?

Which level of Elgrand did you get?

- Caravan

- Homy

- Highway Star

- Rider

Did you get a factory body kit / aftermarket wheels?

Its an Autech Rider 4WD... yeah 3.3litre, has the lounge package, Tein Coilovers and EDFC, 18inch chrome wheels, std rider kit, twin sunroofs etc etc.

I was looking at aftermarket kits like the Fabulous ones but theyre too massive. I will probably look at getting the door panels and maybe a rear bar but thats about it. The only exterior thing i got for it was LED tail lights.

yeah renos always help... weve done a fair bit to this place so far but it still needs a lot more. Its just hard finding a builder that wants the f*kn work. its near impossible.

still got the ensuite, a bathroom, laundry and kitchen that needs finishing and no builder this side of the city wants to do it. shits me.

My plan is to do it myself, that way I can maximize the increase in value, and not have to worry about builders wanting the work.

Just need a drafter to redraw my plans...

NICE!

Autech eh... Gota see pic!

Yeah my friends Elgrand has 18" Fabulous wheels, massive front bar side skirts, rear bar / lip and a few dress up accessories on the rear lights and panel.

He just bought a set of Tein Full Adjustable suspension from Aaron at Import Monster and will fit them in ASAP when they arrive.

He just installed a high flow air filter (replace the stock panel filter with high flow one) he said it runs a lot smoother.

I keep bugging him about an exhaust but he's not doing it yet.

Whats EDFC?

awwww yeah... giggity.

HELL YEAH!

edfc is like an in-cabin control of the suspension settings, ie. rice :)

anyone got a copy of Win 7 Ultimate 64bit that i could... ah.... borrow? :ermm:

got a brand spanking new system ready and waiting to be unleashed...

I started off doing it that way... now i cant be f*ked and its just quicker and easier to get people in to do it.

Theres no real diff to the autechs i dont think... other then a nice white and gold Autech Japan badge.

Those TEINS are exactly what came on mine... theyre good. But i got pulled up on them at the RWC... so now i have to find a C spanner before my meeting with VICROADS on monday.

    • Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.
    • Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.
    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)
