A mates mix if anyone wants to listen to it, just helping him get his name out a bit cos his good

Not bad :) Transitions could be better though.

Getting a better deal than me :P given your age and how new the car is that's all in order. But FFS if u buy a BMW get insured with someone else. JCI charge thru the teeth then rape u for excess once u make a claim. Trust me. If anyone else would insure my gtr I'd jump ship quicker than a rat off the titanic.

$630 for ze golf. $650 for the R32 when I had it. $430 for the 240z, but that's cos it's insured as a classic show/track only use car.

All with shannons on a rating 1.

ok hang on so the $2802 is what i pay per year and the "excess" which is $1600 is what i pay in an event of an accident etc? 3046 much safer than 3047 :P

what do yous pay then for your premiums?

3k

my is250 is with JCI its a very good deal and im under 25 the premium/excess is very fair, excess as opposed to how much agreed value, i just wish someone would write it off for me. I've had an at fault claim and a not at fault claim they were really good for both

I've had both too. The only time they've been half decent has been for my 'at fault'- which theyve tarred me with because of the pothole drama. I'm at fault for a hole in the road... Ok...

I pay 3k p/yr comprehensive, I'm 22, and my excess is 2-2.5 k...

But most of all when I've had to deal with them they've treated me like crap.

not many places will touch imports either. altho M3 isn't an import so you can get it from anyone, not just JCI. isn't there a website you can compare all the insurance shit on? chuck it in one of those.

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
