Forgive me if I'm assuming incorrectly here...

And people want SAU / SAU Vic to organise more of these meets so we can facilitate that kind of shit? Show the newbies how this car club stuff is done etc?

I think I know why people like alr33x take personal offence everytime someone complains about people giving Skylines a bad name...

Props on stepping up and organising a casual meet but surely you guys can do this stuff without the wheelspin?

why r u blaming me birds.. i had my is250 which u cant even turn off traction control mate so dont jump to assumptions we didnt do anything just hung out under a bridge in the rain and tlkd sh*t.. thats all.

but given the weather conditions there was a little bit of wheel spin here and that which is all h00n would be reffering to ..

Really, and H00N wants to learn how to accidentally do it?

I said people like you, not you.

i think your over reacting a bit mate.. you werent even there your completely assuming everything ask one of the other 20 or so cars that were in the city nobody was chuckin skids or doughies or whatever else you'd like to whinge and whine about maybe next time come down of your pedestal and see for yourself.

perhaps he thought second gear snaps were intentional? you;d have to ask him..

I'm not saying that i don't have any fun, but it would be good to hang out with other import owners who are actually into these cars rather than posers more concerned about pissing contests.

haha true true, was ment to take the stagea up there, but then shit was playing up with it, so i didnt end up going.

    • Possibly avoid using a Cometic one unless the deck/head surface are perfectly flat. I did have a look just then and forgiving gaskets such as Tomei or Nitto don't exist for the FJ20, however the Bar-Tek or Kameari ones look good and might do the trick.
    • Because pipe threads for pipe things. M threads for bolt things. Throw some teflon sealant onto it and dust your hands off knowing you did the right thing, instead of going twice around the block to achieve a result using the wrong things. Of course, all of these solutions are ignoring the fact that the minimum thread pitch we're talking about here is 1.25mm, with the 1/4" in NPT or BPS being out around 1.4mm. You will need to know that the boss you're tapping has enough thickness for at least a few threads. That's one of the reasons that 1/8" is commonly used - because the pitch is <1mm. And why would you look to use 1/4" NPT in a BSP country anyway? Ugh.
    • Just throwing around ideas, does it need to be in the compressor cover? Why not the hot side piping?
    • 1/8NPT drill size = 8.7mm. Since the hole got messed up by me, it’s probably around 9mm.    So 1/4” NPT would be next step. A drill size of around 11mm would be preferred there which is not way of my M12 (drill 10.5mm and tap M12 threads)
