ebay im paying around $98 for innovate sensors (innovate lm1 and lc1)

even for the new MOtec setup on my dyno my sensors are $110

i was using INNOVATE but it is unreliable and slow, as most are well aware.

All Genuine Bosch in Bosch boxes.

When you say slow Trent, what do you mean?

I haven't had any issue with my LC1 mounted in the dump, perhaps its the lack of soot with the e85? You do give yours a hard time too.

I remember there was review in some magazine they tested a bunch of simple Wide band O2s and the Innovate had the fastest response time when against Techedge, AEM, and a few other brands.

not sure how that happens, the innovate has been pretty poor in other comparison's... especially in the trade. Warranty issues since they sold out to another company have been through the roof.

i had to get a new lc-1 under warranty and its died again now, they replaced it straight away the first time so there was no doubt it was a manafacturer fault.

anyway i purchased myne through this guy, was very helpful and returned it for me to get fixed under warranty.

as attached.. each to their own.. I just wend Innovate LC-1 because of it's dual output and because it is recommended on many forums

yeah its an 07 test, i used to swear by their gear used to use LC1's by the truck load in car installs (permanent). I even reckon if you search innovate it will come up with lots of praise from myself, but over the past 2 years it has become a joke.

DOA's and lc1's which wont connect etc.... even my dyno ran a few lc1's for v6 and v8 cars etc but the constant issues drove me nuts, i splashed on the MOTEC gear and it is chalk and cheese, never have i made a wiser choice the things it picks up over the LC1 is phenomenal.

I still have 2 LC1's which are backups and a Trust LM-1 (version one in black) the lm1 is 4-6 years old from memory and is a sweet unit just clunky and proof they used to make good gear as it never plays up.

BTW this guys is the shit for all tuner tools, great guy. Tell him we sent you.

Half the price of local gear.

i recently bought a innovate LC 1 and XD16 gauge.

had some trouble getting it to work, it was my battery causing this,

after a new battery it was much better,

ive had a few issues with it getting stuck on the heat up phase,

ive had to remove it and recalibrate it 3 times in 3 weeks,

the LOGWORKS program that comes with it wont load has a missing mts error, said to reinstall it so i did, still wont work still has mts error.

i have connected the anologue outputs into my datalogit for a wideband reading on my laptop while tuning. i have tried alot of different configurations to get it reading the same as the XD16 gauge(digital) i can get it even at idle but when under load the guage reads richer than the datalogit,

other than that the innovate is good :P

makes me worry that the readings im getting are actually correct,

i had similar problems, tried shitloads of different earths, read that you have to wire the ground to an2 and set it to delta an1-2. i tried this and the readings were different, in the end i found it closest to correct when i wired it up this way but switched off the delta an1-2. also had to use a seperate ground for a couple of wires i think, cant really remember. fkn weird shit

yeh i tried the delta an1 - an2, doesnt seem to work for me, so i just use an1 and have tried to calibrate it to read the same as the gauge, but under WOT it doesnt seem to be the same,

i have tried different earths but the instructions and their website say u must try to connect all earths to one lug, even the signal and heater grounds together.

i have it working now with the gauge but every now and then it freaks out and i have to jack the car up take the 02 sensor out and do a free air calibration then refit.

    • Yeah, it's getting like that, my daughter is coming over on Thursday to help me remove the bonnet so I can install the Carbuilders underbonnet stuff,  I might get her to give me a hand and remove the hardtop, maybe, because on really hot days the detachable hardtop helps the aircon keep the interior cool, the heat just punches straight through to rag top I also don't have enough hair for the "wind in the hair" experience, so there is that....LOL
    • Could be falling edge/rising edge is set wrong. Are you getting sync errors?
    • On BMWs what I do because I'm more confident that I can't instantly crush the pinch welds and do thousands of USD in chassis damage is use a set of rubber jacking pads designed to protect the chassis/plastic adapter and raise a corner of the car, place the aforementioned 2x12 inch wooden planks under a tire, drop the car, then this normally gives me enough clearance to get to the front central jack point. If you don't need it to be a ramp it only needs to be 1-1.5 feet long. On my R33 I do not trust the pinch welds to tolerate any of this so I drive up on the ramps. Before then when I had to get a new floor jack that no longer cleared the front lip I removed it to get enough clearance to put the jack under it. Once you're on the ramps once you simply never let the car down to the ground. It lives on the ramps or on jack stands.
    • Nah. You need 2x taps for anything that you cannot pass the tap all the way through. And even then, there's a point in response to the above which I will come back to. The 2x taps are 1x tapered for starting, and 1x plug tap for working to the bottom of blind holes. That block's port is effectively a blind hole from the perspective of the tap. The tapered tap/tapered thread response. You don't ever leave a female hole tapered. They are supposed to be parallel, hence the wide section of a tapered tap being parallel, the existince of plug taps, etc. The male is tapered so that it will eventually get too fat for the female thread, and yes, there is some risk if the tapped length of the female hole doesn't offer enough threads, that it will not lock up very nicely. But you can always buzz off the extra length on the male thread, and the tape is very good at adding bulk to the joint.
    • Nice....looking forward to that update
