Beer baron, will you be able to provide dyno graphs of all 3 (with rpm on the x-axis)? Also, any logs of boost from on the street or track would be fantastic.

Do you have any info on the new exhaust manifolds? internal or external gate? what about on the 8374 and 9180 setups? twinscroll or no?

what is the exhaust setup from turbo back on all 5 setups?

I will also be interested in dyno graphs. Do you have graphs of the -5's and the -10's? And please post the dyno of the efr pair.

Much appreciated. :D

well I have some news. have a set of 6258s for a GTR on the way now. :) Full kit with full race manifolds, twin 6258s etc. This particular car has run -5s and -10s so it'll be a great comparison. I'm hoping for -10 power with -5 driveability.... I think they'll deliver but there's only one way to find out..... bear in mind they are quite a bit of airflow. 44lb each is a lot of powa for a little 2.6L engine.... :)

You ARE the first retail set. There is ANOTHER set heading to Australia soon as well. We know our results on the RB26 here in the states, but are eager to see how you like this set up.

So what is the general consensus of the equivalent GT3071/76 in BW flavour? Any comparisons to show if the BW is worth looking at for this power range (260-300kw) on a 2.5L ?

I'd love to try something that rivals the GT2835 Pro S on the RB25....and was hoping it will be the EFR 7064. But I'm a bit suss about the super small ratio of compressor to turbine (especially considering the low trim of the compressor on this model).

Well after reading an absolute sh!tload of comparison yesterday.....I still don't know because the 2 turbos that SHOULD compare are not tested yet because it appears they still aren't released to the public ->>> EFR 7064 and 7670.

Here is what seems to be somewhat confirmed (sorry if this is a rehash). Some of this rant is a interpretation from the link at the bottom.

Many of the EFR turbos are not really exact matches and perhaps deliberately fall between the garrett offerings while giving more response off-boost and a more linear response of at least the size smaller turbo (ie. GT35 vs GT30).

The boost ramp plots on the dyno do not really show how responsive they feel on the street.

From comparison with the A and C frame EFR turbos vs the Garret items it would seem the 7064 should flow between the 3071 and the 3076 and be more responsive off-boost than either of them. BUT, only a true test will tell as the 7064 has a smaller inducer than the 6758 and a low ratio ratio of compressor to turbine size.

The 7670 appears to be between the 3076 and the 3582.

Ahhh the 7670 vs GTX3076 thread...EFR 7670 vs GTX3076

Am I missing something? I have not seen any RB26 results to date, other than a car launching on youtube.

The 9180 is Twin Scroll twin gate on a Full Race Manifold. The 8374 is also twin scroll, twin gate.

The 6258s are both internal gate. and I have no info on the manifolds for them other than they are Full Race (and thus I trust they will be well designed and manufactured), they are T25 flanged and the turbos are internal gate.

exhaust set-up on the 9180 is very much high flow. nice tapered dump that expands out from the turbo outlet to about 4inch diameter and nothing really in the way of restriction etc.

the 6258 is a pure track car. dyno graphs will be up to the car owner but I don't see there being a problem sharing.

nice. :) do I get some kind of plaque? or maybe signed turbos? just kidding. we looking forward to getting them here.

Excellent! Any results you can post will be much appreciated by many.

Maybe a t-shrt? We're excited to see someone else test the twins.

Lol. Make it XL. we are just excited to try them too. The car is a pretty well sorted setup so we're hoping for good results. :)

This

Noel, they have some grphs etc from the 34 GTR with the twins. Not sure if they've been posted anywhere but I've seen them. Might check with full race if they want them posted. I think they were only preliminary testing type results from memory.

Given this thread was started back in october last year Richard results are rare as robot shit.

I was a prospect for one of these turbos, All I wanted to see was some real world results. T'would appear I could die of old age before they are forthcoming.

Check page 9 Noel the rb26 results are there for both e 8374 and the twin 6258 kit. Give it 3 weeks and there'll be local aus results. :-)

What am I missing here. this thread is 8 pages long and you tell me to check page 9.

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
