I thought you could make 40 or 50 extra kw with the proS? Nice choice, what did it cost you?

I bought the kit with a damaged turbine so all up it cost me $2300 after fitting a new CHRA but this is also including the dump, intake etc. There were a few niggling things missing like M10 14mm hex nuts with the correct height and correct material and a bit of buggerising around.

Obviously is the same size comp wheel in a different trim so there is some hp in that plus the larger turbine (56mm vs 53mm) should allow it to breath better so I would expect around 30kw extra on the same dyno but hopefully a whisker more everywhere. We will see how it feels on the fat car. Ms Wolv will be annoyed if she doesn't like it as much, so I have plenty riding on how it drives after.

Roof rail replacement kit finally arrived today: WUHOO!!! It's only taken 2 years to get this sorted! Also, Bilstein re-valve kit arrived a couple of days ago: Just need to collect my new daily driver (Hopefully next week), so I can get the Stag sorted...

Where did you get the roof rail replacement kit from, looking to get one for my stag ?

pulled off my split dump pipe and turned it into a bellmouth, i was starting to get a lot of spikes since turning up the boost. also fitted a Gizzmo MS-IBC last weekend to replace the Jaycar unit.

resprayed my roof rails on the weekend.

used a product called 'bumper black' which i have had a lot of success with before. it is a black paint that has an inbuilt primer in it, and goes on with a textured finish very similar to powder coating. it is fantastic because it dries fast, and because of the textured finish,it hides imperfections very easily. it is also extremely durable. i'd highly reccommend it for anyone who's rails are looking a bit faded or mottly. i'll be doing my wiper arms with it this weekend.

EDIT: quick tip, if you do this, make sure you mask off EVERY part of the car that you don't want this stuff on. it gets airborn and travels for metres and metres. my garage floor was covered in a powdery residue afterwards. i went to mitre10 and bought a few plastic drop sheets from the paint section, cost about 2 bucks each. tape those down with masking tape and dont leave any room for error because this stuff will find it's way in! it was esp important for me as i have a white car.

Pick or ban. Did you do it with the rails on the car?

yep with rails on the car. probably should have made it clear, but the drop sheets were to cover the car, not the garage floor!

can try get pics but proably not going to show all that clearly.

I guess this is the place to put it..

But i got some wheels the other day for my Gtr, but since its engineless at the moment i thought they would go on the stagea for a bit.. however i was expecting them to hang out of the guards alot since my 17x9's do by about 2 inches..

however.... 18x10+20 i am led to believe..

    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, much easier to work with it now it's free!
    • I _think_ that one has a christmas tree or some other retainer spike into a hole in that panel under it. Come in under it with thin scredrivers and just pry it gently up. If you rip the ears off the retainer pin....so what? Just stick it back down after with a bit of race tape and carry on with life.
