Anyway todays question should be who should MB sign to replace Schumacher. Preferably someone who can keep up with Rosberg.

As was previously suggested, di Resta would be good. Or maybe Heidfeld since he's been screwed over by Renno.

Depends if Schumacher keeps having good races like he is. I get the feeling that if Nico fails to properly get the upper hand on Schumacher from now on it may seriously damage his career going forward.

Webber's big year is the next one, he's had this year to come to grips with the new tyres against a Vettel in top form, so it's crunch time as of Australia 2012.

Jense is really delivering for McLaren, definitely a likable guy, unlike that other dickhead they employ.

I hope the Yukuza cut Vettel's fingers off.

That is all.

apparently this is the full transcript of the schumi v Hamilton blocking incident.

pf1

Engineer: Michael, we're concerned you might get a penalty for blocking.Michael: Why?

Emgneer: Because Race Control just warned us you were blocking.

Micaehl: Blocking? Why - it's my own team-mate?

Engineer: No, it's Hamilton. That yellow helmet is Hamilton not Nico.

Michael: Oh (pause) I can't see anything in my mirrors.

Engineer: Are the mirrors broken?

Michael: No, somebody has stuck a nice photo of Kobayashi in the left mirror and Petrov in the right mirror.

Engineer: Can you repeat that?

Michael: Only joking - hang on a second, we're coming up to Ascari ...Yes! And again he fails to take The Schum! Get in there mein Sohn!

Engineer: Michael, you have to stop blocking.

Michael: We are having a nice battle.

Engineer: Charlie doesn't see it that way.

Michael: You know I wonder if I can get him onto the grass this lap...

Engineer: If you don't stop blocking I'm going to get Ross.

Michael: Not listening!

Ross: Michael, this is Ross. You have to leave room for Lewis at Ascari

Michael: There is plenty of room.

Ross: You need to leave a car's width of tarmac, not just a car's width between yours and the barrier.

Michael: This really is a nice lot of fun.

Ross: Michael, you have to leave Lewis room, if you collide-

Michael: He'll get the blame. He always gets the blame for everything. It won't be a problem.

Ross: We had enough trouble with Rubens last year.

Michael: Schum, Schum, Schum Schum, Schuuuuuuuuuum!

Ross: If you don't move over I'll tell people about 1994.

Michael: Er...you know, I think my tyres are going off.

i found that entertaining, so much so i dont believe a german said it......

It's the only part of PF1 worth reading that segment, god the forum is f**king retarded.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, rev limiting the cars ruins the overtaking a bit.

The whole "Do we dare turn the revs up for a lap to make a pass, knowing that it may result in the dreaded white and blue smoke?" was exciting.

Engine freeze is shit, atleast the engines have the slightest relevance to road cars, unlike hypersensitive aerodynamics.....

So one good race in two seasons of mediocrity & suddenly the pressure is on the other guy?

Sorry mate but it looks for all the world like Webbers big year was last year. Maybe it is the new tyre but he is struggling massively this year.

Jense is really delivering for McLaren, definitely a likable guy, unlike that other dickhead they employ.

Bit of a harsh call on Sam Micheal?

I hope the Yukuza cut Vettel's fingers off.

Do you, like, know people? :whistling:

i've not been on the pf1 forum, i just look at the highlights and the pics. :)

so we gonna make some t shirts?

i think the only problem is you need to order somethink like 50 shirts before they will make them.

yeah as much as I love schuey he's hardly putting the sword into nico just yet. he's started to come on strong lately but nico has certainly had the upper hand till now.

Look through Hamo glasses when he turns his head and I wonder whether he has been crying. He seems to be wiping the sides of his eyes...and their appears to be a reflection at the bottom of his eyes behind his glasses. Probaby perspiration...but wouldnt surprise me

i like the fact that webber, unlike most drivers, will admit when he's cocked up in most cases. there's some drivers out there who could run off the road with no-one around them and they'd try and blame oil put down by a car in a race 3 years ago before they'd take responsibility for the fact that they out braked themselves, or ran wide, etc.

that's a very Australian trait that I like a lot... Europeans and Yanks are never wrong even when they clearly are... just makes you look like a fool I reckon... if you own up straight away then there's not much more to be said and you sometimes disarm the interviewer who's really out to have a bit of a fight and record some controversy

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
