The new format of SAU looks fantastic no complaints over the old somewhat dated set up

one thing that would be heaps helpful is the ability to choose how far back u want to see the threads when i click on the 'view new content'

e.g. i want to choose to see all the active threads in the last 24 hours or the last 7 days

this is how i use SAU, by browsing all the active threads from when i left to when i sign back on so this function would make it so much easier

its probably a work in progress so i don't wanna sound pushy just a suggestion as I'm on SAU at least an hour or 2 per day

anyways love the work you're doing guys this is pretty much my e-home as i don't have a facebook or whatever so any improvements are always appreciated

danny

There's an option in your Settings to change 'View New Content' from 'new content since my last visit' to 'new content that I have not read'.

I know it's not exactly what you were asking but I just thought I'd point it out.

One gripe I have, and I noticed its being worked on, is when opening image attachments it opens on the same window instead of a new tab or window, ive lost count of how many times ive "closed the photo" only to remember that I had to click back instead of closing the Tab or window.

Also, where are out little NSW/VIC/QLD members tags? No doubt you havent forgotten but yeah, I like my little blue tag hahaha

Ok, I know I havent answered everybody in this post, sorry if I have missed you, you might need to quote yourself in a new post.

:D chicken nuggets for kids that are hard to please

Nutty Nosti Nuggest.txt

NICE! My 3 y/o will LOVE those!!

rather than Feedback just saying View can we have it like the old way an actual number of how much rating you have

Yep, on my to do.

Also, I can't leave trader ratings. No matter what I put in the "Deal Topic" box, be it a link, text, blank, clicking "Leave Feedback" button just says "Invalid Deal Topic". Help please? sad.gif

Hmmm.. Ok, let me sort this.

I'll start a list to compile the pages of feedback and get it looked into

OMG yes please, I'm losing track!

I noticed that my warn status is not currently representing my badass nature. Something around 30% should be fine.

Thanks

hahahaha, love this! I know this wont help represent, but I gave you a rep for that comment. Thank goodness rep doesn't directly counter your warn status or you'd be rooted.

Yeah, the image attachments will be fixed shortly.

Please bear in mind... This is just one skin :)

There are HEAPS of options for us, just give us some time to see what suits us best

thanks for that. don't know if i like that look of that one though. i realise there is lots to choose from, but i think i prefer the looks of the standard one over that one.

Another cool little feature I like is the "Preview post". Saves you from opening a topic if you just briefly read what it is on about.

yeah it is pretty good. i've been on other forums that have a better system though. some other forums if you just move the mouse over the thread title after a second or so it will bring up a preview of the first post. this can be done on threads you have read, unlike here where it only does it for threads with unread posts. gets a bit annoying when i come back to here after being on the other forum for a while because i then try to get the preview here and it does nothing, lol. pretty sure the other forums are using a different program though. they aren't IP. boards.

Yeah thats a vbulletin feature. We used to have that on the ooooollllddd SAU. I might be able to whip up something similar using the existing Preview Post functionality.

I just thought I'd let you, my favourite people, know that after almost 9 years, I am within 6 posts of hitting 10,000 posts and I'm a little excited about it.

Amateur. -1 repped.

^^ easy fix to that is FF, Tabs Mix Plus, Undo close Tab :D then press back on your browser or mouse button back and hey presto

CTRL+SHIFT+T will reopen the last closed tab.

Tabs Mixed Plus can bite me.

    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way. Simples
    • Ok, disregard my “rate them” comment, sorry for my unrealistic input
