Had noble intentions today of fitting up the LSD rear end & the Scotty dump, front pipe & new Blitz Nür catback I got the other day...

Diff went in fine, but I was foiled utterly by the stock dump pipe... :(

I even called Scott to walk me through it, but couldn't for the life of me remove the O2 sensor with the tools I had - and as a result I couldn't get to the top centre nut to the dump pipe flange.

Fitted up the rest of the exhaust to the stock dump (will be forced to ask Craig to do it for me while I hang my head in shame) and I'm glad to report that its SUPER quiet. At idle, it's not much louder than the standard exhaust & probably just as loud as the induction roar on WOT.

Will be interesting to see if there's any change in noise levels once the factory dump/cat is swapped for the good one...

I'll be at the workshop bright and early tomorrow if you want to head down. Give me a buzz or SMS on 0406754304.

finally ive been waiting to post this.

cars tuned, very happy with the results its been a long time( almost 3 months) with issue and constantly annoying the guys on here.. but first in WA :)

it is road tuned so no dyno results as yet guys but its a big improvement and im sitting at 19.5psi :)

id really like to thank Scotty, Craig, Ryan and of course all the others for imput for helping me through the tuning/ mehanical issues ive had.:cheers::cheers:

i will get dyno run for all you doubters eventually lol

Nice work Chris.

What was the boost issue in the end?

No fault codes I take it?

Got the audio controls on my steering wheel working with my head unit. Just 2 wires to connect together & another one to ground then store the functions in the memory. No fancy conversion box required in my case.

It sounds so simple when I read this back, lol. There were lots of hours of searching, reading, prodding & measuring to get to the point of 5 minutes of soldering & crimping. Been meaning to do this for 18+ months - thanks Rich (richzx) for the motivation to get off my bum & do it  .

Had super happy family time today and couldn't sneak away. Do you work nights, Dr Craig? :O

Finally got around to fitting a full radius bell-mouth in the factory air-box. Happy with the fit and yet to see if the Airflow properties have improved performance. its certainly better than the crude OEM bellmouth IMO.

Nice Benny. Will be good to hear how it reacts to that.

You'll enjoy that mate!

Any work on the suction/intake side to aid flow?

Thats one of the next things to sort. Just looking into options. I need it before I get an emanage etc.

But so far mod list is

Sierra stage one turbo

Nismo ecu

Scotty dump

Scotty front pipe

Nismo exhaust

HDI front mount will go on this week

Looks like I have a plenum spacer lined up

Just ordered a shift kit

Also have scottys coolant mod sittting there to go in.

What do people think is the best suction pipe?

Mine works quite well. It would be fine for that turbo. Also skirts the AFM cut issue.

Is relatively cheap and made on a jig as a direct replacement for the OEM restrictive cast nugget.

Completely invisible once fitted. I have several of these in service and performing well.

Scotty makes an excellent one, and is proven at huge power levels.

AM Performance in Radelaide do a very neat replacement; Ryan (Bigkevracer) can vouch for it.

Yeah I was going to ask you about yours. What do youcharge for yours? What numbers have people pulled with your pipe?

I have been looking at the AM one but not completely. Sold on it yet.

Scottys is a possibility. But he does require the car which is not out of the question but would be better not having to drive to mexico

PM coming your way.

What have I been doing to my stag lately,

Well I put on R33 front & rear calipers with

brand new dba slotter rotor and project mu pads.

Brakes feel really good now

And just last night I put in a recaro bucket seat

With a bride super low seat rail only bad thing is

I can't see over the bonnet now :-(

Hey Josh can you be a bit more specific with the difference the intake made? I want one but don't want the AFM cut out issue or maxing the injectors. You have the standard turbo as well?

Hey Dale can you pm me the price on yur intake please?

Here's a couple of rubbish pics of my car with the new wheels on 19*9.5 + 35 with 245/40/19 tyres. The handling is much improved.

I can't get the caps on because of the hub nut things but I think it looks good without the caps anyway.

I can't stop staring at the entrance way appearing like it's sinking into middle earth.

    • A few little updates that weren't filmed due to not taking long to do or not interesting enough for their own video. My new K&N Air Filter arrived, I went with an RU-4180 which matched the dimensions of the universal cone filter the car originally had.  The battery had gone flat, while that was charging I tidied up the spaghetti wiring at the bulk head and down the sides of the engine Next job was to swap the stereo The Kenwood harness had the female ISO plugs cut off and the male ISO plugs cut off the adaptor loom and joined with bullet connectors. I ordered in a repair loom through work and re-did it all. New Kenwood unit installed (Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth, Reverse Camera) The bonnet/hood gas struts have been poor since collecting the car. I couldn't find any suitable replacements locally so took a chance on a pair from AliExpress.  The originals don't use a retaining clip to secure the cup onto the ball fixture, would explain why I struggled for 10-15mins trying to pry off the cups. The ball fixtures unscrew using a 12mm spanner, new ones are the same size. Sadly no photo of them fitted, you're not missing much lol The dished Momo steering wheel got replaced with my Momo Tuner, turns out I ordered counter sunk bolts for the horn trim ring (like they normally are for the steering wheel) instead of allen cap (flat seat)  A terrible photo of a Quaife style gear shift knob I've had stashed in my tool box for many years after purchasing the incorrect thread size (I can see a pattern emerging with ordering incorrect parts...) Also threw in a cup holder and a (empty) Boss Coffee can, because why not
    • GT-R clearly the better choice! The 300 is certainly not insaly fast but has a decent amount of poke. Does a nice little drift around the corners with a decent amount of throttle. It's VERY predictable in a slide too.  Feels so progressive! People probably presume there's a 25 year old driving it based on my behaviour this week! 🤣
    • Yeah Jap import. Fairlady Z then! I'm a bit the same.  They've been on my radar for a fair while but then just impulsively decided to buy one!  Was going to just buy an NA and add turbos to it later but decided to save the f'ing around and just buy the turbo version.
    • Thanks mate, well done to you too! Yeah not looking forward to doing any major work to it!
