I want to build up a DR30, but not as a burnout car just as a nice car :P

Long live the box/wedge !

Hells yeah!!!

Nah im thinking the same.. not just a burnout car... but a nice one :teehee:

Just cut the crap and put a merlin v16 out of a spitfire in it! It's different and it'll fry your tires quicker than you can say "get a dog up ya!"

My friend Jeremy is DJing at 151 so I will be there for sure. If you want to buy me a drink or three I'll be wearing a v-neck and jeans.

No that's what i'm wearing, i had dibs first.

irony (ˈaɪrənɪ)

—n , pl -nies

1. the humorous or mildly sarcastic use of words to imply the opposite of what they normally mean

2. an instance of this, used to draw attention to some incongruity or irrationality

Anyway, I figured if you have 40k to spend on a 31 your night out budget must be close to $5000, so drinks at 151, :)

Wasn't the Merlin a 12 cyl? Not trying to be a smart arse or anything. Anyway, +1 for the spitfire engine conversion, especially a Merlin 131, 2000HP at 25psi :)

We have a Merlin here at the Mech eng building at uni all cut up so you can see it in operation, thing is awesome.

amusing thread lol

talk of:

lesbians

eating books

ta ta's (Which we still need a pic of)

spending ridiculas amounts on a terrible engine

wooly mamoths

how hektic skidz require no skill

now there are a few more things i feel should be re-itterated

for administration purposes we require a ta ta shot...

the average 'nats' spectator has an iq figure of 40 and has the interlectual ability of a gumboot...

just put an ls1 in ur car and never never never mention clevos again.

birds and clutch make me laugh and sometimes a bit of wee comes out.

cup size??

any f**kwhit can destroy their own/their mates/their mums car doing skids. hill climbs and track days require brain cells.

No wonder her front teeth are broken. If you looked like that I imagine most people would want to punch you square in the teeth.

yes if thats sherry in her avatar then she not bad at all lol.

I wouldbe a liar if I said I hadnt poured tens of thousands into my track car but f**k its a 33. Its a better platform. It still uses a nissan engine even if it is 3 litre. And it is a track car. Its a race car. U dont need 500 hp to do a skid. U need to not care about ur car so a 31 is an obvious choice but not one with 40 g spent on it.

Furthur more if I had my time again I would have a f**king house by now. Not a money pit skyline thats never gunna be that amazing considering we have cars like the mark berry r34 and even his old 32. Cars like that will be remembered. Ill just be broke and have an aging car with no resale value.

I think if burnouts are ur thing it would be remedial to spend 40 g and a car to do them. A dirtty 5 litre vs commy ute will cost u f**k all and sit on rubber destroying cooks all day lol. And cost f**k all to fix when it breaks.

I swear I did say something as in... not just for skids.. you guys need to read better...

Plus I also said I used to do hillclimbs aswell =/

Yes it is me in my avatar.

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
