As always, this is a great build thread. What you have done it what I would love to do..

If you were to put a figure to what you have spent, what would you estimate at? If you don't mind me asking..

Keep up the great work :D

Why wouldn't you use the gtx version?

Because the build started with a turbo I randomly bought... And 3 years ago they weren't really heard of.... And to this day from what I have read I am glad to have a GT over a GTX as they seem to be average at best....

If you had $25,000 you could buy two things, those mods and a cheeseburger :)

Lol they would wanna give you a few grand with that burger....

Boost curve is HEAPS better with the Greddy Profec in comparison to the HKS EVC 5 which is a little surprising.

The car has been run on the dyno since that graph i believe but peak power was bugger all more as the turbo has no more to give, still a big result for a GT30

very good effort that turbo, sure pushing it hard... how are the EGTs? I can imagine you would be able to roast chooks on the exhaust

Yeah thanks mate! I am not sure on the EGT's but with E85 and decent tune i cant see any major issue :)

Nice graph Matt. .

I think you still might be leaning out abit...needs more fuel (kidding :D )

Are you still looking at trying to hit the 400awkw with a bigger snail?

I like that dyno printout, been comparing it to mine, 4000rpm is the giggle zone hey .. lol

i think your gt and my gtx are almost identical though, so interesting due to the bad rap the gtx has had, have you thought bout putting a gtx wheel on and shooting for the 400kw?

Nope, ill learn to enjot the car for now, traction is already an issue even with a good setup SO more power is just wank factor (Do want lol) but no point building a car and then putting it into a wall haha

Mmmmm. Thread needs moar 6262.

Great results Mat. Hope you get to enjoy it reliably for a while and have some fun in it at the events.

LOL No it does not, love the 3037 whistle too much :P And yes i hope so too man!

Mine is a little lazy and laggy simply because of the exhaust being restrictive, a setup like this should have more below 4000 and full boost on 3700-3800 BUT i would rather keep it quiet on the street and have that off boost area to keep me out of trouble, but yes beyond 4000 rpm is all skids and lulz

How many tyres do you go through a week? LOL.. I can imagine on song in 2nd she's prancing all over the road

None, i keep breaking stuff lol..... And no prancing!

Except he behaves on the street, don't ya Mat?

This man.... He knows!

Keep it to the track! lol

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
