Is your 44k yen price inclusive of the throttle restriction removal and speed cut?

According to their listing on YAJ the list price is 44k. BIN @ 46k

http://www.importmon...RO%20SPEC%20ROM

Note this on their listing:

It starts coming out at setting, and the entire area an empty torque impression there is, setting, very much is popular. The map of the NM35 electronic control throttle short story low/row which only NISUMO understands until now, with) modification such as variable val tie & electromotive fan start timing (temperature analytical real accelerator work in furthermore high power higher rotary limits was actualized until now. (Note!! Successful bid charge + separate option cost)

I think Cam found out it was a 20k yen option to remove the throttle restriction...

If your contact can get the remapped ECU WITH the restrictions removed for 44k yen then I'm impressed...

That was for simply_mighty, who wanted the tune minus the throttle restriction and speed cut.

You're right, its 20,000 yen to remove those. I'd like to think we can get this reduced if we're getting a few, and I haven't had a chance to ask if they can just do throttle restriction and speed cut.

Dude you don't need emanage if your just changing the exhaust, you only need it if you want to install the suction pipe and increase injectors size. Even then you don't HAVE to get an emanage. Cam isn't running one and his car's got all the mods done cept for injectors...I think.

Well that solves that then. It is on my list anyway. I've never had anything this 'high tech', so I'm just kind of feeling my way and erring on the side of caution. Doesn't help when you read/hear/get told different things and you're trying to work out what the best move is! All very confusing sometimes... I have bought myself more time now anyway, so might do the G-Zone anyway.

Yep, suction pipe, turbo, FMIC, spacer, full turbo back exhaust... and stock ECU.

It won't pull as much power from the car as a dyno tune with piggyback will, but you certainly will not NEED to install the emanage if changing the exhaust.

Love it. Thanks Cam. Bad info had made me think it was necessary and I was going to lean out and break stuff.

Are you keen on the G-Zone then? Or you looking at Emanage? Both?

I think I might do it when the car gets back.

Do we have enough ECUs floating around to send 4-5 over to get done at the same time? He might drop the price if he just has to remove speed cut and throttle restriction from 4-5 ECUs? These are all things I'll bring up with him when my Japanese contact gets back online, apparently its a holiday over there at the moment but Mr Amino keeps working away at G-Zone.

Dust hasn't done his write up yet, what's the advantage of the Fcon over the Emanage? Don't they both work as piggybacks and didn't I see you post that neither controlled the eVCT?

lol, my decision had nothing to do with Dust and his brief description of the change.

the Fcon iS is a piggyback - takes the ECU's signal to the engine and manipulates it (like the eManage)

The Fcon V Pro is installed like a piggyback but can be used as a standalone unit - cuts off the ECU's signal to the engine and sends its own.

Controlling the "eVCT" is an unknown to me right now.

The iS can control NVCS (Nissan Variable Cam Timing) which was used in the RB25's but I am not 100% sure about controlling the timing in a VQ25det... yet.

  • 2 weeks later...

I asked to G-ZONE over e-mail and he replay this email.

stagea has too many ecu number (I think 12)so electric throttle is option but we can not change throttle map.

Many stagea have been installed on our remap ecu and are very happy but we have not been selling remapped throttle map ecu.

We think your stagea problem is fuel or timing map problem.

Stagea is very rich at middle rpm and after middle rpm is lean.

Also TEPS is able to change throttle map but have not been soling remapped throttle map ecu.(customer is happy)

I know ecu specialist and I spoke to him and he is able to make map for 98 octane fuel.

If you are not happy he will adjust map again.

Its free but you need pay postage.

He will change fuel , timing , also throttle map , remove limiter.

Price 60000yen all included.

Cheaper than G-ZONE.

Thanks Toshi, very helpful. I take it you are not going to buy the reader/writer yourself? I think at around $500 for a remap the reader will pay for itself very quickly as I think there is at least 10 people wanting this done.

Tools around $7000.

$500 for US nissan car.

Japanese car can not use it.

Also $500 one can not map trace and datalog.

M35 is I think around 12 type ecu and all different program.

So If I do my self I need map tracer and data logger.

ECU tuner said if this ecu will engine knock , too rich , too lean , I will remap again.(its free but need postage)

So I think this is best way now.

Sounds like this might work; Toshi, would you be able to arrange a run up on a dyno to observe how the remapped ECU behaves, and then provide feedback to the tuner regarding any issues if any arise as part of the process?

If so, I'd volunteer, if someone is prepared to loan/rent me an ECU? Otherwise, who's willing to go first?

You have an informeter don't you Daleo? I just want to know if they can fix... Actually dont bother. lol.

Sounds positive :)

Currently building the ass end full 4 link floater rear end with a 2 speed  But the dilemma i have is my mate rekens I should just stick with the 30 head for reliability. Has any one had any issues with mounting the 26 head ie compression blowing gaskets etc. Just looking for some advice from people who have gone down this route. Here's some photos. Blew the oil pump in the gtr and decided to rip the motor out at the time and do a full build only to find it had been a repairable write off so went down this path.

    • lol no cats running str pipes … might put the high flow back on but I suspect it might effect my ignition timing a bit.
    • That looks a bit like yellowing to me. If the rear bar was looking like that from rich idle, I'd ask the question, do you have a catalytic converter fitted, and fully working?
    • Oh yeah gets really bad down here. I’ll have to upgrade the heater and wind screen wipers as well for optimal performance.
