far out

my 33 costs me $169 a fortnight to run including insurance, rego and fuel

i can get a brand new dualis or cruze for 160 a fortnight on a lease with everything paid for, tyres, servicing, rego, insurance, fuel card etc

that nuts

According to Careerone the average wage for a fully qualified electrician in this perios is $94500 a year

EBA pays more than that, then add in all the allowances and OT :).

Summary on Flynn is my post on the previous page.

cos it just means i get a newer car and dont have to worry about suprise bills etc

rego is annoying when it comes and so is crap like buying tyres etc

to be fair the lease car costs around 330 a fortnight

but the tax benefit translates to -160 a fortnight in my paycheck

You know what mayne i only make $40k a year and very content. Good luck with the sparkie job and landing a EBA or what ever :)

I had to take my US trip on a credit card and looks like i might have to do the same again when i go in the next couple months :)

$160 a fortnight of tax saving you sure? Unless you are in a high tax bracket or do alot of kms salary sacrificing a MV may or may not be beneficial.

yeah ive checked it a few times

the pre tax cost is like 330 a fortnight and after tax is 160

im in a high tax bracket but only do about 15,000 a year

i got my 33 on a novated lease agessss ago and its a bit annoying, but the cost savings is stupid

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
