Don't be a smarty pants behind keyboard Ash...

How come we've never met before eh? I bought my first R33 gtst the date i joined up in this forum and have attended fair amount of cruises and GOR trips.

Probably because you didn't have your keyboard, just like so many before you.

You keep attributing numbers to the competition of winning a trophy, I don't believe it's the case at all. You could have scrapped trophies, same amount of cars would have been there on Sunday. The competition is secondary to the show and shine, there's many more variables to it than that. It has more to do with starting times, lock in, location, weather etc. And that's all I'll say on this.

On with the trophies again? I'm obviously not explaining this correctly as I don't really care about the trophy part and can't see where I led you to believe that. Even though it may seem like I'm fighting, I'm actually just trying to provide a view of which some of it may be beneficial for the club.

I posted that the competition was 'rigged'....but I wasn't being serious lol.

I enjoyed the day even though I didn't win anything (not even a fuel voucher haha).

'Rigged' was just me generalising the many words that were used to describe it :) I had a fun time too! I'm sure everyone did. I'm just looking at it from a long term growth perspective, that's all.

You kids need to be less complaining.

Everyone loves to whine after an event, but I see NO members EVER volunteering your time, thoughts or ideas.

So as a result, you get what you are given. If you don't like it - put down your keyboard and run for Committee to take the club into what you believe the direction should be.

Trying not to come off as a nagging child although understandably suggestions are far easier to make after an event. I have not been to an official event before therefore I had no reference to suggest prior to this one.

I would be happy to volunteer, although when I try to provide constructive feedback to a 'Club Executive' it's taken as a complaint. It's a little difficult to want to volunteer when the absolute first step of the whole process, making suggestions as an attendee, is a grueling experience.

Not quite sure why I bothered giving a shit :(

Oh C'mon.. don't be like that mayne, uncle Flynn loves you.

There were a fair few cruise clubs that sprung up after the first release of Fast n Furious, every Tom Dick and Harry was getting into the import craze.

One that comes to mind is MCCR.. Melbourne Car Cruise Registry.

Got some wheels first!

Mine didn't arrive in time otherwise I'd do less of bribing...

Not to worry, there's always next year.

Now to wrap the wing or not, mine's peeling :(

What wheels did you get again?

Where is the spoiler peeling?

Panasport G7 C5C - Flat spoke, 18x10.5 +16, but may sell it cos with coilovers I've got I fear I will wreck it with tinest of potholes. But the coilovers do make the R handle amazing though - might grab softer set with swaybars.

It's peeling where the long bit towards window, I think it'll peel further when I wash it with high pressure water at carwash joint. I'm thinking of sticker bomb vinyl the wing, not the blade though.

By 8hrs you mean 6 yea?

Of those 6, almost 1hr of that would be moving in/out etc.

6 / 8 same same, same reason i didnt enter the sau nats one its just to long imo, clearly others dont have an issue with it which is fine but i'd be willing to bet you'd have a better turn out with a shorter time frame of mandatory attendance.

but im not knockin your events you guys do a good job considering its unpaid unloved work

I am sure you can spare 1 day from the whole entire 365 days we have in a year to spend a quarter of a day at a show and shine

It's just for some fun.

    • Ok guys thank you very much. GCG highflow it is then 🙂
    • forgot to mention that when it does this it does not kill the engine, but I have not kept the pedal down long enough to let it, as I see no reason to beat up on it as its got to be something simple, small and dumb causing this.  And as soon as I let off pedal, the engine returns to its normal super smooth operation and rpms re-stabilize quickly, once below 4k.
    • neither stumble or cut really seem to be an appropriate term....hard to explain its like a rev limiter but at 4k, but it violently shakes engine and entire vehicle as the rpms will not rise over 4k, even with slow acceleration. as soon as it hits 4k, it sounds like entire spark is lost entirely. plugs were 1.1 which I used as such, but later put in new plugs gapped down to .8 changed back after issue arose when I replaced the coils, still does it with either plug gap...damn and it was all running so good.
    • Oh how times have changed! I actually lean it out relative to my water/methanol injector duty cycle. The methanol adds a lot of fueling and you can then lean it out even more due to reduced knock.
    • Yeah my thoughts are the same, a well thought out WMI setup, would be slightly ahead of just straight E85 and you're also chemically intercooling the charged air, dropping it even further. This is why you need to add so much more fuel as soon as you spray. I remember someone taking me through their set up before (Dennis, has a R33, lives around Cabramatta - no idea if he's still around on this forum). He would target AFR 10:1 on 98, then as WMI ramped on, AFR would lean back up to 11:1. Amazingly, he did this all through his PowerFC, a relay to cut power to his EBC solenoid if there was not enough line pressure on his WMI kit. And of course, if there wasn't any boost made above gate pressure, you wouldn't be accessing the load cells with heaps of timing for WMI. One downside to that rudimentary setup, once the WMI came on, the EBC would unleash the dragon, and of course all the timing. Tyres would fry lol.
