It's funny how sometimes the passenger can feel the car is sitting on it's limits and the driver can't, it should be the other way round. I had the exact same feeling, was about to tell him to slow down because it was starting to scare me...next corner...skiiiiiid. This is why I like the uphill too, uphill is your friend for stopping quick.

Mate, tell me about it. Time didn't "slow down" for me as per se, but it sort of did a similar thing where I could see he was never going to control the turn at the speed he was going, and just forsaw the crash. Shit be cray, man. Haha the problem is uphill is always first; and boosted their confidence a bit too much... Btw that crash looks horrible bro, amazing you got out if it unharmed.

VTECYOOOOOO

Haven't taken my civic on a pass yet. Too scared. stock suspension and $10 tyres. Massive body roll. Do not like.

When coilovers are in and new wheels go on with new tyres i might give it a crack.

Do eet. If Mount Dandy, lemme know.

Been itching to go on a bit of a drive for ages! The rain is what's been holding me back. Going kinglake with some mates soon, but Mount Dandy is so close to where I live LOL, I wonder why I don't go there more often (...must be petrol prices xD). That said, last time we went to Kinglake, 2 of my mates hit Kangaroos... Well actually, it was after Kinglake and en route to Healsville... on some straight road LOL :|. Apparently I dodged a few I didn't even see...

Think he found that parking pass somewhere.

Different road to the one I ride along, the crash happened on the Tourist road and the guy was driving full pelt. Was a turbocharged Pulsar with an over-confident driver behind the wheel, who didn't know how to deal with oversteer after installing a tight rear sway bar. Came around a corner at high speed, rear slid out, he over-corrected a couple of times and slid off the edge of the road into pitch black (was midnight) for a downhill roll / bounce off trees and eventually landed on the roof.

ah i see

got pretty lucky there looks like passenger/driver would've been squashed down...

last time i went off it was uphill, and straight into a very muddy embankment. locked up the fronts and was just a passengerlucky i had just decided to back off a bit and was already slowing down... didnt even have to buff the paint after lol. had to remove a couple of kilos of mud from my dish though. quit while i was ahead, turned for home and 5 min later the tyre came off the rim.

lol good call Niroj...it's amazing how easily people die in car accidents, I think it's more amazing how much shit we survive...lots of people have stories like this.

in year 12 there was a really really bad one that bez (forum member) was passenger in.. they all survived very luckily but the driver fled the scene with the car on fire..

luckily I had work the next day so went home early.. or else I would of been in the back seat of a prelude that rolled 11ty times :\

here's the article from a quick google:

I'm too scared of dandy mountains. I saw a friend roll his car this the hill, while I was a passenger in another car.. Since then all the cruise that people organize through there I refuse to attend..

Especially when the paramedics said they didn't think he would make it. Shit f**ks you up

I recall you driving up Arthurs seat with your backend sliding out up the mountain a little while back Aaron :P

Yeh Dandenong mountains just scares me though. I think it's because I can picture exactly what happened. Arthur's seat you can't really get as much speed as you can at dande so yeh. And that's when my tyres were shonky lol

Moh what's the overall look your going for those wheels to me seem better for a euro style ride not a wide body 32

It's gotta look tough, and kinda classy. So, functional stance.

Other rim choice is bbs rs' and get custom lips made up.

    • Did you pay with a credit card? I'd be putting a charge back through then finding a new sparky to sort it out.
    • If you mean the alarm immobiliser; theyre internal to the alarm itself which makes that difficult; I couldnt even see where he put it; its not in the same place as last time; but with all black wiring it might be very challenging to trace  I had someone turn the key for me as I know it only primes for a couple of seconds As my post above; I am getting no voltage to the pump at all; but I am testing continuity of the power line (SB) from the pump plug to the relay fine. As well as the negative from the pump plug to a 12V constant.    Yeah; he blammed the no start on a bad battery; said I needed to get a new battery and it'll start. Turns out the battery drained because the tail lights had been on for half the day during the install (the rubber cushion on the brake switch gave out while he was testing it as I have a picture of the car from that morning with the tail lights off..i've replaced that). The battery was turning over the engine just fine for a long time; but got low since lights were draining it so it was too low to test a start after he finished. I bought a new one on his advice...$250 wasted. My original battery charged up just fine and is healthy.    It was running perfectly fine when I messed up the old alarm (programmed out the remotes). He couldnt start it after removing the old alarm; my assumption is that when he unhooked it; he didnt bridge the circuit back when trying to start it. Its always been perfectly fine. The ECU swap and pump were 2 years ago. It's never missed a beat in that time.
    • This is a big issue for me without the diff. I just have zero drive from the passenger side when drivers side has no traction. Bec's parents place has a crazy steep driveway with odd camber and I have never been able to get up. My bro-in-law's 130i with an (unknown brand) LSD gets up fine as does their dad's Hiace. My car stays at the bottom. We have other odd camber roads around here as we're elevated a bit and if it's raining I can get totally stuck around some hairpins.
    • Yeah, I am super excited for this.
    • Was the car running before he touched the car?
