I feel it's important to distinguish between Melbourne souvlakis and kebabs, as many people think they are one and the same.

Souvlaki = wrap, untoasted, usually made by Greeks/Lebs and bought from a walk in shop. No such thing as a doner souvlaki.

Kebab = wrap, often toasted, usually made by goat lovers/Arabs and bought from a van. You can get a doner kebab.

There is a lot of crossover, but in pure form, that's how it is!

kebab can use The land of goat sphincter rings bread instead of wraps too, which is heaps better imo

Souvlaki is greek

Kebab is The land of goat sphincter rings and that's the best kind, out of a van at 3am nothing comes close

As for the lygon lamb i've heard some mice/kitchen stories on it a while ago and haven't been in there since

mmm :S well least mine was made fresh and wasn't sick :P

When was the last time you all ate there?

less than a year

Very true, I should have mentioned this but forgot the bread they used when toasting. Souvlaki is normally a pita, the kebab can be The land of goat sphincter rings bread.

Yo bluejeans I haven't tracked the SS, but I've run them at DECA and they were quite good. Don't really have a basis for comparison as I've only ever done DECA with them, but I was happy with how they performed. Obviously softer spring rates you get a bit more body roll than firmer springs, but that's the trade off. Still way better handling than stock.

all good man, was just curious.

I was told that the BC ER's i was tempted to get are way too stiff for daily from a mate at work.. but then again i do like pretty firm coilovers..

im sure this time next month ill still be tossing up what to buy :/

46 looks out of place on that thing lol

Oh really

birds ride tonight if it's dry? (although the hills will probably still be wet :\)

Have you looked outside lol? Hills will be soaked.

was thinking of doing the same...

46 looks out of place on that thing lol

Yeah I agree - it came with it, the 46 and dunlop are coming off when I get my DRZ stickers on :)

It's not exactly slow, I rode my cousins ninja 250 and it felt like half as quick lol which is fair enough being a 400.. (obviously not as quick as my 650 though but then again it's not meant to be, just heaps more fun!)

factory wet weight is 146 KGs i've taken a lot of stuff off it and when you've got half a tank of fuel + me being only 70kgs front will come up :D

I also want to ride. And it will happen!

Also tempted to remove my mirrors and put on blocking plates. Can't find a decent looking set of aftermarket mirrors and I think it would look cool without them altogether. Just fear that I'm creating another defect mobile :(

Lol, I bought 8 dollar mirrors off ebay, bar end mirrors which i'll be mounting under the bar like this:

Good thing about motorbikes is cheap and easy to mod.. so far I've spent like $250 on front fender, rear fender eliminator, front light, rim tape, stickers, mirrors etc. cheap cheap!

A good learning curve for me as well on how stuff works without messing around with a car that you need for work/daily I just hope my front forks don't fall off when I'm practising wheelies

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
