LOL just saw this, to clear a few things up -

Just cost me $800 for the flash tuner and $600 for the tune

No retardation of timing, no pulley, no exhaust, no e85, no intercooler, no injectors, no aftermarket boost controllers or anything like that just a tune and K&N air filter replacement. Standard the blower bleeds out boost after hitting 4 PSI on the tune (for the GS) much like a turbo wastegate, the tune basically stops that from happening, increased to 9PSI and made another 120rwkw on a very low reading dyno (made 250 stock compared to 286 on chasers dyno) would see over 400 on some other dynos for sure..

Duno why people are so surprised there's more cars out there than skylines, and before haters start hating I've owned 3 of them before this.. I mean it's no GTR through the corners but definitely better than I thought it would be through the hills. It's a daily to / from work car and I love it. End of the day I was never tracking my GTR and just getting cop hassles

Here's a video to show what a tune does

I know what some guys here are saying that's it's a charged 5 liter etc. I still think that's a very high amount of power for basically a stock car, given mods. I'm no ford fan by any means far from it but I give credit where it's due. Know a guy who's dad ownes a 5.5 liter charged e55 Amg with a tune or chip and it didn't get anywhere near the gains like this. Iv read a about people charging v8's and it wasn't as simple as bolt on, tune and result in close to 400kw. I think it's bloody impressive, good on you mate.

This...

It's an awesome amount of power and a very cheap increase, but it's very conservative from factory. By blown 5 litre standards 370rwkw isn't huge. And comparing them to modifying engines with half the displacement is as retarded as Aaron's timeshare insurance idea.

Hahaha it wasn't my idea and I didn't compare u fag

haha cheers mate, its definitely fun !! :D

And you are comparing a $40-50k car with a $15-20k car.

Which one is going to loose you the least money when you go to sell?!?! Sure the blue oval isn't going to command anything more than $15k in 3 years time.

Pointless comparison

:)

Rain is good for a waxed car...it washes most dirt off and doesn't stick to the car itself, attracting dust and then drying to make it dirtier...ala an unwaxed car.

1. Paint protection

2. Stays cleaner for longer

3. Easier to wash

"Long story short, i sold my EG with rwc. now the buyer calls me 5 days after saying the wipers are broken and not his fault etc, that i sold the car to him in an unroadworthy condition... the workshop passed rwc so clearly it was working then. and it was working as i drove the car for 2 weeks AFTER getting rwc up until buyer picked up the car

what can i do about this? its f*kn bullshit. do i have to prove it was working when he picked up the car and that it broke in his possession?""

^^

Doesn't need to be transferred either, as long as the Vic roads transfer papers are signed, it doesn't matter, if the car hasn't been transferred after two weeks the seller can actually go in and transfer it themselves

    • So, this shouldn't be such a mission, but there were a few tricks so I thought I'd post up a DIY for it. This was on a Q50 Red Sport but I doubt any other V37 model is very different (maybe just less steps for the intake heat exchanger hoses) I pulled the radiator out to flush it because the car was running hot at the track, but obviously the same steps apply for changing a radiator for any reason including an upgrade. If you are removing the radiator, you of course need to drain and refill, so have 5+ litres of blue coolant ready. You don't need to drain the intake heat exchanger to remove the radiator but depending on your plans you may need a couple of litres for that as well. You will also need something to deal with the auto transmission lines, I used 2x 8mm rubber caps on the radiator side, and a short length of 8mm pipe on the car side.....unless you can block these lines quickly you will loose AT fluid and it may be enough to hurt the transmission if you don't refill it. Other than that....lets go... "First, jack up your car". Yes really, and put it safely on stands. If you are not confident doing that you need to give this job to a mechanic
    • If the forester is anything like our old 2007 GTB Liberty, I could near on run ling Long's and "rate them", as no matter what, it just hung to the road, even when abusing it in a hard launch in the wet, or throwing it at corners.
    • LOL, all of the CAI like Craig I just need to put a hole saw through my bumper Done and dusted, the car runs, which is nice, I'll take it for a spin when the weather clears up Just need to put the bumper back on for good
    • Brooooo Please send ABS control unit schematic Please! R33 gts25t ABS (Its two plug ecu, black and white) wire colors possible? [email protected]
    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
