i'd say you are bang on.... it will still be hard to get...

i let mine go for less than that in the end as i just didn't want to spend the first few weeks/months of my sons life out trying to sell cars

sup playa.... what you driving this week man?

sup man

this week im driving a jzx90 with a side of traum kit, some lovely and epic suspension goodies and a hint of 1jz symphony emitting from a lovely fujitsubo exhaust.

lol

what are you in now?

a defect on wheels, you'll have to hold out until someone will pony up the money.

Should just part it out and sell it stock.

That's definetly on the cards, but was hoping that would be a "last resort" sorta thing as I'm forever busy with work and family so hoping an interstate buyer snaps it up as I would have to de-rego it and they'd have to get their own RWC anyway.

I was actually going to PM you, seeing as you're the only person I know of that has sold their modded '33 recently.

Judging by the number of genuine enquiries, I was thinking I was in the ball park in terms of figure but wasn't 100% sure so thought I'd ask you fellas.

How much did you end up selling your car for and did you supply a RWC for them too? Feel free to PM if you don't wanna discuss it in the forum :)

Clearly you love your Chasers!

Yeah you might get lucky like that - but more often than not people strip and sell stock. Generally end up with more money that way.

I was almost at the point of doing that with my 33 to be honest, would've certainly got more in parts no question.

Hey,

Didn't wanna start a new thread for it but what do you guys reckon would be a good starting price would be for me to sell my car? I've had about a 7-8 enquires so far but no-one has been able to come up with the money (unable to get finanace, don't have enough money etc.).

I listed a starting price of $16,500 but was hoping for $15,000 or so once all is said and done. What do you guys reckon? Too high in the price range or should I be firm with the $15k price and just wait it out until someone does have the money?

I'd say anything over 12k take and run.

I maybe out of touch with the market though

R33 aren't worth shit these days. Too many of them around and too many of them making unreliable power with cheap shit parts, which is more appealing to the market of tight asses buying them...dragging down the quality cars with it.

Good bargains for people who've never owned one and aren't sick of them, or want a starter track car.

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
