if they think your quote is too high and refuse to pay it, though. However, unless it's ridiculously high they will likely just pay for wherever you want to take it and not bother with contesting it.

soooooo like Micolour? :P

To my knowledge you can have anyone you want repair it anyway. You're not held to ransom by their insurance company or having choice of repairer on your own policy. It's not your fault if the other party that hit you has cheaped out on their insurance or not.

Hence you can have it repaired wherever you want and you can refuse their company's quote / place of repair. Their insurance company do have the option of settling it in VCAT if they think your quote is too high and refuse to pay it, though. However, unless it's ridiculously high they will likely just pay for wherever you want to take it and not bother with contesting it.

That Birds advice. Cheers mang, will call them now

Strong recollection of 2004 legal studies

I'd try for it! Worst case they say no and you waste a drive to Dandy. I do think you have slightly more bargaining power as the third party to the accident.

lol yeah that guy was like having the KKK side with your argument.

That OP tried calling me like 11ty times after I SMS'd him yesterday. What a stalker kunt.

Friend of Captain Will by any chance?

Not expecting it to be done soon, I'm aware it is Christmas time

Strong aware

When my excel got rear ended, I had to go with the repairer they said because I was only third party, but if it was full comp I'd take it wherever I wanted and the insurance company has to worry about it.

I did get a free loan car though, corolla beast

Conversely, you also don't have to be satisfied with their repairs and can contest that. Remember legal studies Ric; the law seeks to restore the status quo. If things aren't the way they were before (and you wouldn't even recognise me anymore), you have the right to challenge it until you are satisfied.

Oh and get a hire car for free out of the fkers too.

fuuarrrkk Birds just took it to the next level with the free rental request haha

but as everyone has mentioned; it is not your fault the accident happened, so you can get it fixed where ever you please.

Tell the person to open an insurance claim with their insurer and to give you the claim number.

Then you take that claim number and stroll on over to Micolour.

    • Maybe also really stiffly sprung track cars. Get the inside wheel up in a corner and all the fun stops. Also me sometimes (rarely) when I have to stand on the brake to convince the diff to drive the wheel that is still on the ground when I'm trying to diagonally get over severe driveway entrance, etc.
    • I feel like I'm missing something. You had an authorised installer come out and install a new alarm. Post install the car doesn't start, and you aren't getting the installer back to fix what they did wrong?
    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
