quality fittings and hoses.

you can use a cheap core if you want... as long as the fitting and hoses are A1

personally i'd just go for a non thermo one on a predominantly track car, makes oil changes easier and you wont be driving it round cold like a daily

ok so oil cooler kits, what should I be looking for?

what should I be avoiding?

bout time I started modding the car again..

Pretty much what Hamish said

I had a chat to Trent about it a few weeks ago and he said just becareful of shitty designed cooler cores. As he was using a core than ran 10c hotter than the one he has now.

It saying that Trent runs a el cheapo $80 one lol. This is the one that works

I have your cooler hoses, fittings and that Greddy thermostat adapter here Tony, when are you going to buy that super oil cooler core you are raving about? :P

Track days coming.... ;)

I thought you were sourcing my Cooler core lol

How long you need the car for?

I was thinking about entering Calder.....but a bit low on funds and time atm :(

Toby, take your car to calder drags I wanna see the beast in action!

Are you taking your car there?

Can't say I've ever been keen to go to a drag day

Maybe if SAU VIC organises one this year ill go

Wasn't planning on it, but if you go down I'll come watch / maybe enter cos its cheap as chips anyway.

Will be throwing a twin 3" cat back exhaust on my car soon :D dat v8 burble brah

SAU had one at heathcote 2 years ago haven't had once since I think :( it was forum battle or something, won fastest ford trophy :D

yeah drags are pretty fun, trying to squeeze that extra .1sec out always a challenge and the adrenaline pumps hard when you're racing or about to launch

really cheap compared to track days, and no need for racing licenses which is a bonus

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
