That's like turning your TV off because you don't like the adds with starving children on it.

Sure it takes your mind off it but it sure as f**k doesn't solve the problem

I'm okay with this

Versus the people who watch the ads and still don't do anything about it, or the people who throw money at the problem to absolve their guilt

I'm content with the idea that there will always be impoverished nations and war and immigrants; human nature has brought these about and won't change it permanently because these things have always been and always will be; capitalism is born and bred into us

Besides this, donating to these causes is like giving a homeless alcoholic a few bucks to get the next fix or meal...you sustain their life...but what life? So they can have more starving children? As ruthless as it sounds I'm kind of siding with fuhrer Alex on this

I'm with you birds.

Nobody has yet clearly unequivocally proved that these boat people are legitimate refugees so in my book illegal aliens send em home no negotiation.

And nobody has yet clearly unequivocally proved that these people aren't...

Your point is completely invalid

Serves em right for being born there eh

No one said they're deserving of it; I don't think anybody deserves to die. But people do die, every second of the day, the world over, and there's nothing you can do about this to rid the issue. I'm grateful for the life I have, but I'm not going to be guilted by the circumstances of less fortunate individuals...or fooled into thinking I can stop it so that those who can't block out or accept inequality and death can feel like they're changing the world. You could spend your life and every dollar you have helping people, but where do you draw the line at not living your own life in a decent manner because you spent it supporting a cause that will never go away, or in the case of boat people, get worse when you start to support it?

No ignorance here - apathy, perhaps. I accept this unfairness and death as a fact of life and the world we live in. I believe poverty is a condition that can be resolved for an individual, but will never be wiped from humanity because, for as long as humans are greedy, and they always will be by nature, there will always be rich and there will always be poor. Consider that the kids who make it to the tv are the ones lucky enough to have their charity/cause represented...what about the others?

Also, sif those African kids don't flaunt their #thinprivelege

Firstly, I lel'd @ #thinprivilege

Secondly, I completely get what you are saying here and you are correct in your assertions. My point however remains that turning the TV off does not give your the right to say the problem is solved, only that you now aren't seeing it.

This also applies when your hard right political affiliation of choice bangs on and on and on about a budget surplus being all that matters in government and is spending just as much on it as the previous mob.

No it's not. They have arrived illegally. It's that simple.

Is that because Tony told you so?

During an election campaign...

That was completely filled with lies...

Seeking asylum is not forbidden under australian or international law, nor is it a criminal act.

It is considered unlawful to enter Australia without a valid visa, however this only means you must then prove you have a genuine need to seek asylum, at which point it may be granted or declined.

If you are that worried about the law being broken maybe you should be more concerned about what Australia does with asylum seekers than the asylum seekers themselves.

interesting

This video is a little skewed, they end up gaining 0.2s over a quarter mile, in a car that's "radically better" (it makes 80 more rwkw)

Vs the not-best twins (hiflowed -7's? from GCG?), and they've gone twin scroll everything.

Would be interested if they did it again with GTX2863 x2 with the same attention to the manifold and rear housings.

Clearly you are pro boat people and that's cool for you. I for one don't want the country over run by unknowns who come here with hidden agendas and come here starting off on the wrong foot by going about it the wrong way.

It's funny listening to these low level society contributors (not you ham the greens bums professional protesters) who side with asylum seekers but I wonder how many of them want to put them up in their own home, or perhaps next door?

None I'm quite sure. It's amazing people don't mind that they sink their own vessels to get rescued or throw babies and women over board does that sound like a good upstanding citizen to introduce to Australia?

I'll forever support looking after our own first, returned services, pensioners, homeless - where appropriate. Etc

You do realise that the children overboard thing never actually happened right? It was just a photograph taken of kids in the water after the boat had sunk, which was used for political gain... There was a whole senate inquiry about this.

Do you not think if these people could just jump on a plane and fly on in, that they would most likely just do that, rather than risk their lives on a rickety boat?

thought that as well but the reason why the 1/4 isn't as good is because they put a 6 speed in it as well so probable needed an extra shift = time

they spoke the truth about better tech in the single turbo tho considering all those twin options are so old now days

They can't; airports have security clearances...the ocean doesn't judge

When the problem to me is putting a drain on the economy (there are plenty of Aussies doing this too; get a job or join the army), turning them away does solve the problem. It may not solve your problem which is the compassion for the lives of people you don't know, or theirs being in the wrong place at the wrong time (life sucks), but it solves mine.

lol @ profession protestors.

Also +1 to turbo comparison. GTX35 with 1.01 twin scroll rear housing.... What a leap from -7's lol. But they make a good point, big-ass turbo with top of the range Garrett stuff still had more go everywhere. Was surprised they used a 6boost manifold considering all the issues people have with their external gates

    • What an awesome idea to fit the facelift Lamborghini Diablo headlights. They are a perfect fit!
    • An update regarding the registration with the DVLA I sent off the paperwork the day after I collected the car from the port, two weeks later it was all returned with a letter explaining they have rejected the application. This was because the cheque was £20 short for the road tax (I used a price list I found online). Nevermind it is what it is, it was sent back to them the following day with a new cheque. Fast forward another 2 weeks or so, I called them for an update to be told it had been rejected. Yesterday (16th September) I received the documents back along with another letter, this time it was because I didn't put an X in one box on the V750 (personalised number plate certificate), which declared that I had the rights to the personalised number plate. Why this wasn't mentioned in the first rejection letter, I don't know, but it could have saved this headache. The documents were sent back today, so fingers crossed third times a charm and it'll FINALLY be registered on the road just in time for the bad weather (woohoo!) To cheer myself up I lowered the front 25mm, was sick of seeing it sit like a monster truck. No idea how much clearance I'll have getting on and off the driveway, I'll worry about that when I can actually drive it
    • You're going to miss not worrying about rust in the strut towers like the Skyline shitboxes out there
    • A few little updates that weren't filmed due to not taking long to do or not interesting enough for their own video. My new K&N Air Filter arrived, I went with an RU-4180 which matched the dimensions of the universal cone filter the car originally had.  The battery had gone flat, while that was charging I tidied up the spaghetti wiring at the bulk head and down the sides of the engine Next job was to swap the stereo The Kenwood harness had the female ISO plugs cut off and the male ISO plugs cut off the adaptor loom and joined with bullet connectors. I ordered in a repair loom through work and re-did it all. New Kenwood unit installed (Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth, Reverse Camera) The bonnet/hood gas struts have been poor since collecting the car. I couldn't find any suitable replacements locally so took a chance on a pair from AliExpress.  The originals don't use a retaining clip to secure the cup onto the ball fixture, would explain why I struggled for 10-15mins trying to pry off the cups. The ball fixtures unscrew using a 12mm spanner, new ones are the same size. Sadly no photo of them fitted, you're not missing much lol The dished Momo steering wheel got replaced with my Momo Tuner, turns out I ordered counter sunk bolts for the horn trim ring (like they normally are for the steering wheel) instead of allen cap (flat seat)  A terrible photo of a Quaife style gear shift knob I've had stashed in my tool box for many years after purchasing the incorrect thread size (I can see a pattern emerging with ordering incorrect parts...) Also threw in a cup holder and a (empty) Boss Coffee can, because why not
    • GT-R clearly the better choice! The 300 is certainly not insaly fast but has a decent amount of poke. Does a nice little drift around the corners with a decent amount of throttle. It's VERY predictable in a slide too.  Feels so progressive! People probably presume there's a 25 year old driving it based on my behaviour this week! 🤣
