Hi everyone

I have a limited number of cruise control systems for sale. They come with the factory switches for your steering wheel & these have LEDs so you can see what the button function is in the dark.

It will take a couple of hours to install & the details are documented. You only need to connect 4 wires (12V, brake x 2 & speed sensor) to get it working, plus the dash light input (from cig lighter) if you want the switches to light up.

You also get the stalk control which you use to program the unit to work on the factory controls & you can even configure it for various levels of responsiveness (tip - leave in factory settings to start with).

The audio controls come in the same harness so if you have the factory sound system then it will just work.

Cost is $490 delivered for the whole kit - an absolute bargain since these ones are typically $900 installed without the steering wheel switches.

PM me for more details.

Cheers, Leon.

Hi Leon

Do these only work with the factory buttons?

I have the Momo steering wheel, so this means that the OEM buttons do not fit... Does it come with a stack or button controller as well?

Nick

Hey Nick. Leon supplies the stalk too (which you need temporarily to program it). I think there's someone over in the other forums who has fitted the stalk because they had a Momo wheel.

This should also make it cheaper because you won't need the OEM buttons.

Hope that helps!

Some reading for you Nick

It would seem that my PNM35 has the same cruise control... or at least the same stick to control it.

Hi Nick, what was said above is entirely true.

However, I assumed that most people would want the steering wheel controls so ordered only one less set of controls than I had units to sell. Murphy's Law dictated that the first person to buy one had the Momo wheel & hence didn't require the Nissan controls. That means that I need to include the wheel switches with every cruise control or else I will be left with spares.

So I'd rather not sell the CC without the switches at this stage. There's enough interest by the looks of it to have them spoken for by early in the new year.

It's a popular cruise control, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was fited a/m to your car. Maybe you could integrate Nick's factory buttons to yours, lol.

And swap you column shroud...

Yes. If you can wait until receive mine, I'll also swap the fascia so you done have to cut (and mine won't have the hole)... if you want... and Jules pulls out.

Leon, may have some cash for you this week. Can you please send your details through?

Dont know if I want the controls either if anyone is chasing some. May just use the stalk I think.

My pleasure mate. Glad you're happy.

Re extra functions available with the stalk, - all you get is a toggle switch on the end which allows 2 preset speeds. The same can be achieved by putting a 2 position toggle in the dash & wiring it in where the steering wheel switches connect. The main unit reads a different resistance for preset 1 & 2, in exactly the same way it knows what button on the wheel was pushed.

The only benefit of stalk over buttons would be the small amount of time saved by not pulling the steering wheel off & wiring/plugging it in. I'd take the tactile feel & factory look of the buttons any day, but that's just me :geek: .

    • That still isn't a lot to go on. I don't have a Y50 Fuga Head Unit wiring diagram. I can say that a lot of nissans of that age shared head unit plugs, so if you are in Australia something like this would probably help: https://aerpro.com/app091# You plug that into the car loom, then either plug the head unit ISO into that (if it has ISO), or you buy and ISO adapter harness that you wire in. Bit of stuffing around, but once you have ISO its easy to change things in future.
    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
