i think it was possible a couple years ago but what happened was people just took a stack of forms and voted for themselves 100's of times haha.

Opening does depend on city of melb. But maybe a 930-1130 opening next year.

Having cars moving around while the general public are walking around is tried to be kept minimal.

In saying that you will always get people coming late.

It's a great location, but i'm just wondering if the event is going to be held back by having a narrow opening window on a Sunday morning. Pros and cons, but maybe we can try something else next year that allows some of the stragglers to turn up? I know the entry time was more than communicated but we all know it's going to happen, and if the net result is having a bigger and better event, then maybe it's worth allowing a bit more for those that can't get up early enough?

Would definitely increase turnout, trouble is finding a location that will let you do it. I think Waterfront City were pretty strict on their move in and move out times, because they don't want it to interfere with walking traffic too much. Hopefully next year the events guys get started on organisation a bit earlier and it will give them some room as far as possible locations...if you can find a good one though, let them know!

Agreed, just need some way to control it, for as Pat said some people just vote for themselves lol. And members of the public probably wouldn't want to fill out 10 classes with votes. Maybe have a "crowd pleaser" class where randoms can vote on their favourite overall?

I think the location is very good.

Docklands as a decent setup.

This girl :P

Yeh fare point. I wonder if waterfront city have another location. I think the premo spots we will need to pay for

Hey John I didn't get a chance to chat to you on the weekend, didn't know you are from the peninsula, where abouts? My fams place is near Flinders.

And Birds crowd pleaser class would be awesome. Is there a problem with people voting for themselves if someone hands out the voting cards instead? Therefore no one can get doubles?

Its a tough one and no easy way around the voting but maybe its a decision which is to be left up to the club execs (similar to other car shows) otherwise people are always going to vote for themsleves and their friends.

Just another option.

The NUR with plates INURI belongs to my mate... We tried to get his car in the event but it was closed lol

I see,

Would have been great to see it enter.

Any chance your friend bought that car from one of the owners of JAKS Motorsports (Alex)?

    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.
    • Where is the warning "That this thread is super old"   I just went into a 5 year old thread, went to do a reply, and couldn't see anywhere obvious a warning of it being super old
    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, much easier to work with it now it's free!
    • I _think_ that one has a christmas tree or some other retainer spike into a hole in that panel under it. Come in under it with thin scredrivers and just pry it gently up. If you rip the ears off the retainer pin....so what? Just stick it back down after with a bit of race tape and carry on with life.
