I don't street race period.

I use nitro vs air.

Which when I set pressure it usually holds it for a long period of time.

Yes I double check prior runs but basically when it is tuned its done.

So I know when I drive home and go back the next weekend I still have the same psi.

Last thing is dot tires are street tires. They just don't last long as your regular dot 100+ thread wear.

The Hks hyper d coil overs are proven lethal in drag racing.

With less tuning require for fast runs.

I'm now using tanabe but if I was still into drag my car would still have hyper ds on it.

I have a reinforced Mazworx cross on it with solid diff bushings.

Helped me increase torque tho.

Sorry the google translate feature I'm using could not translate your language into English.

Its unfortunate I no longer have photoshop, MS Paint is hopeless.

I was going to photoshop a comeback of rednecks driving around in camo pants, but weve all seen your youtube vids

I think that's why they are good for drags straight out of the box though, the soft wallowing suspension aids in the rear squatting and the front lifting, whereas the Skylines with there sporty suspension is a bit to firm for hooking up.

Although the VL does handle a bit more like the Queen Mary when going around corners.

I think, LOL.

Try live axle vs IRS, and vl's weigh a lot more than 1100kg..lol, try nearly 1300kg for a basic sl, and the calais are heavier, R31's are a bit heavier again, but made better.

fastest full street trim vl is around 9.7 at 142mph atm(e85), with stock suspension to i think, knowing what turbos on it, if it had the same turbo as it

had on it before, when it ran 9.9 on 98 0ctane it will go much faster no doubt

cheers

So u drive around the street with less tyre pressure in your rear right tyre?

Or do u just jump out and lower it when ur at the lights after pulling up next to a GTR

I think what he is saying is that at the sharp end of drag racing AWD is no advantage, it is only on street tyres and for drivers who can't drive that it helps a lot.

haha drivers that cant drive, a 32 GTR can be unforgiving i assure you. Found that out first hand.

i give this thread a day before its in the wasteland

I stand corrected, their between 1250 and 1350 kg.

Those weights are for NA versions, you forget the turbo gear.. its actually between 1294 (SL)and 1383kg(calais), then on top of that you add a intercooler and piping as they never even had that standard.

cheers

R35's run pretty impressive times seeing as they weigh a crapload. Found this dyno sheet of a stock R35, for anyone interested.

You do realise they have a highly advantageous transmission compared to the standard manual/ auto boxes do you? That transmission alone shaves precious tenths off.

    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
