Import Monster Sauvic Deca Motorkhana - 2012 Round 1

People might laugh but these rules exist for a very good reason and they're really not hard to follow at all :)

It seems like common sense to me... ...But that being said... ...I'm really worried that I'll miss something and not get to take part...

You will be fine. Just use the supp regs as a guide and make sure you dont leave anything at home ;)

Looking forward to this. Leon has kindly offered a drive in the orange beast.. should be good!

Thanks Russ. You have all been given plenty of notice  On that, please do your best to be on time. The earlier we can get on track the more runs you get in the arvo ;)

I'm in. Been a while but it's just like riding a bike right? Except I'm in a car... Ahwell, I'll just stick to my old ways. When in doubt... Burn out.

See you all soon!

Reppin for the North East (f**k Campbell).

Least Campbell would probably stick around for drinks and partying and not wussy off home :nyaanyaa:

What the hell is wrong with your car these days? If it needs tyres then I can help with those...lol I need a car to drive :( Actually, I need someone to drive my car up from Melbourne...

Are you just coming down from Yarrawonga?

BAHAHA!

Good to see you're coming Brendan.

Could maybe help Troy...although if my car is good to go then I cant help...im sure something else will come up and prevent me from getting it back but fingers crossed.

On another note everyone knows that you can never do well at deca if you dont drink Friday and Saturday nights, and party until the early hours of Sunday.

whoever is getting footage of the day needs to make a video like this :D

LOVE low/wide/flush/black S13's... although preferably with bumpers! Haha

Loving some of the 4WD slides... ei, the Black Subi at around 30 seconds.

Itching for Friday night to come round! Although weather app says Saturday is 35 degrees and possible thunderstorms!

Troy: time to be number 2 driver. Mix things up a bit in something else..

Oh, and we've 'employed' some 'professionals' to do some interviews around the traps at this deca... look out :whistling:

Kieran, do it.

I was just about to email through my application and noticed that it says entries close on yesterday at 10pm.

if I send through the form today and Direct Deposit the funds today is that still okay? Or have I missed the boat on this one?

    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
    • I don't get in here much anymore but I can help you with this.   The hole is a vent (air relief) for the brake proportioning valve, which is built into the master cylinder.    The bad news is that if brake fluid is leaking from that hole then it's getting past the proportioning valve seals.   The really bad news is that no spare parts are available for the proportioning valve either from Nissan or after market.     It's a bit of a PITA getting the proportioning valve out of the master cylinder body anyway but, fortunately, leaks from that area are rare in my experience. BTW, if those are copper (as such) brake lines you should get rid of them.    Bundy (steel) tube is a far better choice (and legal  in Australia - if that's where you are).
    • EMU Classic. For what I need it to do I see no reason to upgrade. Link and Haltech would both cost an extra chunk of money for a lot of unutilized features
