There is a long story behind this wedding and how she approached me, but if you are interested, you can see more photos on my site:

It's been ages since I've gotten to start the monthly thread! We're almost a week in too... it's quiet here. A little to quiet, if you know what I mean.

Your pictures blow me away. Thanks for sharing these fantastic shots.

cheers GTRMAN. :)

Rich, I had a look at the full set, some nice shots in there. Your site looks f**king rad too. really clean/professional looking. (Except music... i hate music on sites :P ) Good work man!

Here's one more from my city adventure with Kory for vivid.

Hehe, cheers Matt - I do make my own websites from the ground up, so that lets me create my websites exactly as I want them.

Nice shot Dan. Very crisp! I hope you don't mind, thought I'd show you a very small change if you wanted to get rid of the extra light on her face:

Just a simple 'darken' in photoshop

Great shot though man :D

I went into the city earlier tonight to check out Vivid - going on a Friday night was not a wise choice, and it was ridiculously packed. I found it pretty ordinary, and battling crowds while carrying a bag and tripod turned me off taking photos. I think I took maybe 15 all up, but I did have the GoPro attached to the inside of the windscreen of my cousin's car shooting in interval mode while we were driving, so depending on how those turned out I might post them up. If there's enough I'll make a short time-lapse (somehow) once I figure out how to do it and make it look decent.

Touches my heart > hope they have a most happy and meaningful marriage together!

Hope you had a great time with this couple Richard?

What a great start to the month. Wonderful vivid shots matt.

Jay - Brilliant shot there of jesus. Light painting right?

Nelson - Love the moon shots. Great detail and exposure. Well done.

Richard - +1 to terry's comment. Been seeing your wedding/portrait stuff lately and you have improved heaps. Keep it up!!

callan - I think its a great effort. I gotta try this light painting stuff one day..

Dan - Lovely portrait there!!! Keen to see more. Just watch the light bleeding from the flash you used to light up the background.

Two randoms from yesterday:

So cute!!!!

Lighting : 580exii and 430exii. Bare bulb, but still managed to get beautiful soft even light :)

Another two light setup: 580exii and 430exii. Plus window light on camera right.

Unedited pic: Might clone out those lines on the background hmmmm....

Thanks mate

As I said its not really the best location but my car was clean for a change and I wanted to give light painting another go so thought I would. Idealy I'd like to do the same photo in a better location and hopefully have a longer light so I'm not standing so close to the light and getting in the shot.

As always your photos are spot on but, As of yet I dont think you or Matt (and quite a few other people) have yet to put up a bad photo.

Some of Matt's photos just blow me away but. The fruits of experience and good equipment no doubt :)

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
