Was installing friends turbo timer in R33 GT-R, took the steering wheel surround off, spliced the cables, hooked it up. It all worked as expected. So we were deciding where to locate the timer and he decided stick it near the ashtray, opened up the center console, guess what's staring at me?

Greddy Turbo Timer.

It was even hooked up, stealthy, not turned on, but plugged in :)

Story of my life.

In my old R32 GTS-t when i bought it 10 years ago (traded a year later), it came complete with a ceramic turbo wheel in the cat.

Then on i knew this car was guna be trouble..... boy was i right.

Safe to say, i no longer have this car lol.

found 4 x 10 yen coins under the carpet

and some tv antena's stuck on the rear glass with cables running to under the passenger seat

and factory xenons still fitted and not at all butchered!

Decat on my first skyline and in my new one an assortment of shit tools in the boot and some random wires under the passenger seat. Also found out from a mate who was drivig behind me that I had the skyline on the rear of the r33 lighting up which was cool. Also found out I had an awesome set of front and rear speakers.

I recently changed out my radio to a more up to date one. I have owned my R33 for a year now. I assumed the USB cable in the ash tray was for a MP3 player connection of some sort but never tested it out cuz I don't own one. As I was replacing the radio, I noticed the USB cord did not connect to the radio but kept going to somewhere behind the passenger side dash. Removed the glove box to find a Greddy eManage unit! Go figure...

Another time was when replacing the valve cover gaskets and found my whole entire head was built by HKS. They even have their stamp into the head itself.

Find myself pretty luck on this purchase since there's more top name parts on the car than what I've paid for the car.

recently went with a pressure washer under my car to clean the suspension area and to my surprise i noticed HKS springs. I have the car for 7 years now and never knew. And can't find any info about them on the internet. No wonder my car always felt so stiff on the road.

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
