If the op is who I think it is it doesn't suprise, to me a Gtr is a Gtr I could go and buy what ever 34 I wanted but choose to drive a 32 as it's the only car I ever wanted as a kid when they were racing bathurst , I like that on the 32 's anniversary others were allowed just the photos were staged which is the way it should be, really any time enthusiast car owners can get together its a good thing as long as their well behaved, in hindsight this should have been sent out via pm not public post but it's the op's baby so he can do what he likes in the end but Terrey this is nothing but elitist not exclusive anybody can see that anyway as bird said enough said but stuff like this just pisses ppl off. As enthusiasts we choose our rides very carefully but doesn't make some better than others IMO.

So when the lowdown want to do a special photshoot for high performance R32 GTR's, are the same group of haters going to posting up crap in that thread as well?

Or how about an R33 GTR photoshoot?

Way to show support everyone ....

if they want to do a GTR only photoshoot that's fine by me and I bet everyone else

What isn't fine by me or everyone else is to exclude non GTR owners from attending or spectating

I think we all accept that we aren't at the top of the automotive food chain with 34s, so to call it elitism is a bit of a stretch. Exclusive is right.

If someone wanted to do a lambo, commodore or sigma only event, that's their prerogative.

It's an "invite only" meet, and the invite is an 34 GTR. Bobby doesn't know everyone with a 34 GTR, hence the need to post the invitation on a public forum.

The last post I will make on this which I'm sure will be pleasing to most. Point taken on why it was posted here what's done is done, I would have done it differently but no point in going that . R34 Gtr is an amazing car and of course have a right to be in an "exclusive" photo shoot no doubt , and no body cares I'm sure. What's "elitist" is security guards asking spectators to leave. The way I see it the more ppl driving skylines in a club atmosphere the better and less yobos. However I would think such a special event may attract real people interested in r34 Gtr's and may also like to talk about the cars and see what can be done with these last of their breed machines as they become more affordable. Even if their own cars are in the old Kmart car park or bunnings as it's a 34 only shoot, by not owning one and not being allowed to witness this event is what makes it elitist . My 2 cents enough said.

sums it up perfectly.

What a load of crap Matt, the level of threads that bring out the trolls is what drives a lot of people away from SAU full stop.

It's not necessary. Those that don't like it, feel free to start your own cruise.

    • What 1.5 way? There's no such thing really as a 1.5 way, just different ways of explaining 2 ways with different ramp rates. HOWEVER. In any driving in a straight line your 1.5 or 2 or 1.7 way should have no clunking at all. With the clutch fully depressed the diff should be silent (unless it's welded but I'm assuming it's not). Something aint right here.
    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
