I tried searching it but got no results :(

I have a R32 Gts-t just wondering what people use and what brand they find is best to cope with lock to lock and daily duties? I have a little play in the steering, so i checked the reservoir it is below empty by like 10mm so I'm guessing its time for a top up!

These are all full synth, so will last longer and be more boil resistant, which will be important if you track it.

Nissan certifications in brackets;

Nulon Synth ATF (C D J K) 66.50/4L = $16.60perL
Valvo Synth ATF (D J K) 49.95/5L = $10.00perL
Transmax Z ATF (D only) 76.50/4L = $19.10perL

I use the Valvo because its well priced.

Any autobarn can do the Nulon synthetic for $50 if you ask. ;)

I would be flushing it all out personally.

Never done PS flush, Got any links or anything to a DIY?

Thanks guys i'll head done to a shop and get one of them!

nothing wrong with the 10dollar castrol power steering fluid been using it in my drift car for years and holds up well considering how hard racks are worked in a drift car.

dis connect lines from reservior drain it all oout and if you want it out of the rack disconnect lines on rack and turn wheel a few times will get it all out of rack aswell.

Are you running a PS cooler? I have seen way too many PS pumps fail at the track due to overheating, hence why I run synthetic fluid, in the hope it will protect better at high temps.

Which is the best among these two?

Dextron 3 trans

Shell SPIRAX S4 TXM

Dextron 3 is a fluid specification, not a brand.

yeah at the moment i have a cooler but even without cooler for 2years never had issues with pump still on my first one.

I use nulon stuff, bought 1l at supercheap and that was plenty for the whole system, no hicas and replaced my rack with a 33 rack. Also I used one that has a leak inhibitor in it, was around 10dollars

Hey guys I'm having trouble finding castrol tranmax z.

Is castrol transmax multivehicle suitable and a better option than castrol regular ATF Dex III

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
