Renewal just came through on my 33R - 350 premium now but still 30k agreed without engine. Thought they were canceling these policies for Skylines...not even gonna challenge the figures!

I'm assuming laid up insurance rather than full comp on the road?

They’re not cancelling exisiting customers.

Mine went up when I renewed it earlier this year, still reasonable considering how much I drive mine now.

Insert fast and furious quote about NO ENGINES!

Barry had chocolate sundaes delivered while he fixed my freshly split clutch line on the spot; had to force him to take money for the hour he spent doing it too...he's definitely in my good books right now!

When is BirdsR happening?

Honestly, the best way to do it is buy someone's project you can vouch for. There are no unmolested virgin R34's, nor should there be, and the ones that may exist are absolutely not worth the $.

If he wants a really clean one, probably worth seeing what's available at auction houses... (stock, genuine kms, rare options)

Does he/she just want power and skids? Could get something cooler and not thief bait

Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
