sergi_dee
Hey guys was wondering of going with a top mount eBay manifold. What's everyone's opinion on them has anyone had any problems with them? Dose Pipe Sutututu
Ever considered the stock one with a gate on it will happily allow a motor to make 400kW or more? 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463747-ebay-manifold/#findComment-7700381 Share on other sites
Burger
You could probably do better with some PVC pipe from Bunnings. Seriously though, if you're getting a manifold, get a good one. It's not worth the issues that you'll come across down the road. Get a proper brand one. sergi_dee
The original plan was to do the gate on the original manifold getting some quotes.. Do you know anyone that will do it at a good price in Sydney/Wollongong? Ok I won't be getting eBay mani, what about the ebay plenums? 75coupe
Awww, but i want my std turbo to be high mount like all the cool kids but i dont want to spend much either... Next thread will be, "anyone used a front facing plenum off ebay" Next thread will be, "since i installed my huge china turbo my car runs crap, pls help" Then, "how much will it cost to swap a secondhand motor into my car" 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463747-ebay-manifold/#findComment-7700395 Share on other sites
Burger
Also avoid eBay spec plenums. Avoid eBay spec anything that's a critical component of the car. Stick to eBay for silly shit like gear knobs, bulbs and stickers. Ring some places and get some quotes. Someone will do a quality job for a reasonable price. sergi_dee
Well everything I got is good quality I thought maybe I would be able to get away with the plenum and the mani but guess not... Do you have any suggestions? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463747-ebay-manifold/#findComment-7700431 Share on other sites
Burger
If everything else is good quality, what's the point of getting a cheap manifold and plenum? Stick with quality parts, and your car will thank you. 2 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463747-ebay-manifold/#findComment-7700438 Share on other sites

jmknights93
Yeah as mentioned above stay away from those eBay manifolds. Cheap & nasty. Some people say they have no problems and some people have nothing but problems. 50/50 risk that's not worth going through in my opinion. Dose Pipe Sutututu
How much? And you got more photos man? Can't disclose price, best if you ask HAVOC directly on their facebook page. Just flick him a PM, usually his wife replies https://www.facebook.com/havocfabrication 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463747-ebay-manifold/#findComment-7700502 Share on other sites

mutex
Has anyone tried an r31 gts-r copy steam pipe manifold on their low mount turbo? There was a company in qld making them: solution exhaust for speedtek in melbourne, looks like they are still available. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Steam-Pipe-NISSAN-SKYLINE-R32-R33-R34-RB20-RB25-RB26-LOW-MOUNT-EXHAUST-MANIFOLD-/252412398308?hash=item3ac4f38ae4:g:N8sAAOSw71BXQFgB We're talking $1k so the question is, are they equivalent to high mounts power wise? KiwiRS4T
Stick with stock inlet and exhaust manifolds and spend your money on things that will make your car go faster like a better turbo, ecu, FMIC, etc. If you really want aftermarket stuff buy quality - I can recommend RIPS and Sinco. jet_r31
havoc for ex manis...cheap and work ebay plenums are fine..but you have to ask yourself why your using one, most rob bottom end power which is what a little 2.5l motor needs.. cheers darren Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/463747-ebay-manifold/#findComment-7747387 Share on other sites
