Race seat back in, shit is getting real.

For those curious, it's a Bride Zeta III Plus, made for people bigger than the average Japanese racer.

Seats look bulldog. Comfy enough to sit in them for 3 hours without getting back cancer?

It's not bad, much more comfy compared to the usual Zeta seats. Space wise, I would say it's comparable to the Recaro Pole Position (waist, arse area) but with a larger top area for broader shoulders.

I have a bad back, and any car seat that's not OEM will give me back pain in about a hour.

Is there a passenger one coming? It has to match Farken!

I'm planning on going twin recliners. So yes there will be matched seats, but not a pair of fixed buckets.

This is just a stop gap until I get a pair of recliners.

Maybe Recaro Sportster CS 😍

Got a set of them in the mrs focus rs, awesome seats but a bit of a pain to get out of at times

They are, but for some light track work, they offer decent support. I used to have a Recaro SR3 in the shit box and it was hopeless for Wakefield. I would be trying to push myself into the seat another corners instead of trying to steer.

It’s only a 14 mm socket x 4 bolts to change them.

mix and match for what the duty is. 🤷‍♂️

It's a space thing, will now need to leave the stock seat at the in laws.

That’s a harness thing. Having good seats is one thing, being stuck in them is another

Yes and no, the Zeta 3 Plus holds very well for lateral movement when compared to a Recaro SR3 or a Bride Brix (used them both also real ones not fake ones).

I agree a harness will improve being planted in the seat.

Speaking of harnesses, are there any plans for half cage and harness?

There are plans for it, been a plan for a while lol.

I really should just do it, mainly for safety. Especially now I'll be easily doing 220 to 230km/h down the mainstraight at Wakefield Park (provided it even stays open now due to all the issues they're having).

Just make sure if you get a harness you get a HANS. Then there's all sorts of extra things to consider like a helmet net and proper collared seat and etcccccccccccc.

Just adding 1 can be less safe than adding 0, but I am sure you know that already.

No drag radials, but semi-slicks are GTG

I've also got a tilt tray on speed dial so we are both good there....🤣

My current AGV helmet is looking rather sad, will definitely get modernised gear soon enough.

Can't put a price on safety.

100000% this

A helmet with Hans post can be found for 450ish (racelids) but bell is around 1100ish last time looked and a Hans around 400. Definitely get harness suited for Hans 2 inch over Hans back to 3inch as heaps more comfortable. The raceworks/mvp ones are good value and buckles/adjusters are nice.

Looking forward to hearing how it goes on track. Going to pretty quick on the straight.

    • yeh they are 235/45/17 up front and 255/40/17 in the rears. I still didn't get my answer if i can fit a 18x9 up front. I want to get 4 of this and see if they will fit before committing as they didn't see an 18x8 as an option but there is a 18x9.5 also.   Enkei RS05-RR 18x9 35mm ET 5x114.3 75.0 Bore Matte Gunmetal Wheel
    • This. The R34 handbrake icon DOES come up when the brake fluid level is low. You might be sitting right on that threshhold. I have been down this diagnosis path and this was the solution (and it was pretty much as full as your picture is to begin with).
    • Unfortunately the cavaet to that is that while any scan tool should be able to read the code, the workshop will need a consult plug to OBD socket adapter. You don't have a location on your profile, where are you based?
    • @Haggerty this is your red flag. In MAP based ECU's the Manifold pressure X RPM calculation is how the engine knows it is actually...running/going through ANY load. You are confusing the term 'base map' with your base VE/Fuel table. When most people say 'base map' they mean the stock entire tune shipped with the ECU, hopefully aimed at a specific car/setup to use as a base for beginning to tune your specific car. Haltech has a lot of documentation (or at least they used to, I expect it to be better now). Read it voraciously.
    • I saw you mention this earlier and it raised a red flag, but I couldn't believe it was real. Yes, the vacuum signal should vary. It is the one and only load signal from the engine to the ECU, and it MUST vary. It is either not connected or is badly f**ked up in some way.
