Dose Pipe Sutututu
Bi-monthly contribution to the car industry, seems weekly at this velocity lol. Needed an undertray to protect debris and stuff flying into the engine bay which may or may not have caused my power steering belt to pop off at the track. Turns out OEM plastic one is quite hard to come by so this alloy one was chosen instead. They're readily available and also cheaper than a brand new OEM one. Oh yeah new dust sheilds for the rose joints because Black Friday sale dis dat. 3 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/468064-doses-sometimes-diy-and-pay-someone-home-boat-improvement-thread/page/140/#findComment-7973031 Share on other sites
Duncan
who made the undertray? obviously the main shape is pretty simple but looks like it has a large 90 bend too which is not so easy to do neatly in the shed Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/468064-doses-sometimes-diy-and-pay-someone-home-boat-improvement-thread/page/140/#findComment-7973034 Share on other sites

Funny enough he's bought a F80 M3 and racing it. I sense GKtech parts for it now. He does post things on what he plans to do and you can tell the BMW FBO purists are eye twitching and getting all hot and bothered LOL... It's like getting a custom exhaust, using SP Mufflers, an AES valve, etc. BMW fan boys will all have heart attacks. 1 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/468064-doses-sometimes-diy-and-pay-someone-home-boat-improvement-thread/page/140/#findComment-7973052 Share on other sites

Dose Pipe Sutututu
OEM clutch on the fan assembly seized, probably why it always sounds like a taxi. Went online to buy a new aftermarket clutch, turns out it doesn't fit. Shit box.. Duncan
can you measure the PCD for the fan and the coupling? I just went through this on the stagea and have a GKTech adapter I can't use that might fix your problem 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/468064-doses-sometimes-diy-and-pay-someone-home-boat-improvement-thread/page/140/#findComment-7973590 Share on other sites

Dose Pipe Sutututu
Just measured it, it's 134mm. OEM requirements is about 143mm. Looks like might need the Dayco 115847 instead. Murray_Calavera
Yep, I went 2nd hand for that reason too. Dose Pipe Sutututu
This one is already a 2nd, 2nd hand one 😭 I've destroyed two already, they don't seem to like high RPM and track use. Them seem to seize and become static units. Might have to buy a 3rd, 2nd hand one... Murray_Calavera
Hmm in that case, maybe its worth trying a brand new one for science? If it lasts 3 times as long as your previous ones it might be worth it?
