Bunging around a bit in the old garage trying to make a half descent looking catchcan/coolant over flow. Spent about 6 hours starring at it like a physco before the wheels started turning in my brain. This is what I got so far. Not so bad for the average maple leaf warrior.  Fittings for catchcan will be on the backside beside fuse box with a nice drain line ran out bottom to beside my frame where i can reach out twist a valve to let the blow by shinanigins out, cheers chaps have a fantastic day🤟

Started installing the meth kit last night, managed to get it mounted so I could still access the awd resevior. Battery is located on other side I figured this was a nice spot for it. Cheers mates.

I call it poor mans e85. I can’t afford that stuff we have to order it by barrel around here. We have no gas pump for e85 within 1200km. Non the less I’m still going to crank it to 30psi

We are kind of lucky in parts of Australia where you can just get it off the pump.

However that duopoly has dropped down to monopoly and not sure how long it will last.

There may be a time where I'll end up with WMI as well.

I fricken tell yeah mates I must have went at these lock rings for 2 hours, I used just about every product under the sun till I finally got some acetone inside the ring area/ wire brush till nothing left of brush, and lightly tapped/ smashed the hell out of them with a punch I made out of a bolt and got them loose, I got some 275’s I want to clear without rolling or touching my fenders and I hate the rear camber so I brought her up a fair bit. I like when gtr’s sit high up looks like they mean business. Anyway someone tell me what the hell these coil overs are that I have.....they say npg but that means nothing to me lol, maybe eBay I dunno I’m not a scientist. They feel great tho I must say.

Yeah theyre a bastard when they dont come loose....

They look like Ohlins coil overs to me but they normally have pretty clear Ohlins branding on them.

When i was told i couldnt get them unlocked by another mate i was determined, i truely believe the acetone was the key but again im no scientist maybe they just finally decided to come free after 100 swings with hammers. i started small and the hammers kept getting bigger.

ive got the ride height 358mm from hub centre to fender in rear, and 355 in front. i mainly did this to clear some big 275/40/r17's on my regas and get rid of the nasty camber in the rear it used to have. who ever had the suspension set up before had it sagging in the rear like crazy for what ever stupid idea car handled like shizznit. once the 10 feet of snow is gone i might actually be able to try this 100k paper weight out and enjoy it with the family again.....hard starring at it everyday she wants the beans giving to her bad. will be fitting a ppg dog set soon!

Acetone mixed 50:50 with auto trans fluid is awesome.

9 times out of 10 works every time!

i was this close to taking them off, buying 4 big bottle of coke and cut the tops off and leave them in there over night to free them up. glad it never got to that point. cheers mate

Does anyone know where to source out dashes these days? mine has taken a turn for the worst and is bubbling quite hard(can see in picture above)?

Pretty much every r32 dash in existence has bubbles like that. You either need to fluke a good second hand one (almost impossible), or re-cover or flock it.

thanks mate, i will try a recover.

A little hick up with the head and now I’m back in action. I had my doubts of the new engine even working as this was my first setup self tuned motor. Might work out a dyno day to tighten it up but it’s fine for now for some family cruising. Pump with meth on 25 psi is plenty feels like 550whp.  Good to be driving the gtr everyday now. It’s a good strong setup I’m happy as hell with it now. 9:5:1 compression makes for some nice tourque but had to turn timing way down. Cheers.

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
