Ok, I'm starting to think that it may be a good idea to shut down the thread. Thanks for all of you who helped and gave me some helpful information. I wont be killing myself in the Golf, Im not that stupid. Yes it may happen by chance, but there would be nothing I could do about that anyways. The one thing I really dont appreciate is being categorised by the majority of you as a "kid". So what if I'm 16, did you want me to wait till I was 20 to ask for some information about a Golf R32? Would that have been more appropriate. And for those of you who say that just because these people are older they are smarter? Thats the biggest load of crap I have heard, how do you know that? Are you me? Didnt think so. So yeah, thanks to all who supported me. An I will be posting up some pics when the Golf Arrives.

Cheers,

OC

i call you a kid because you are a kid....you're 16.....you've experienced nothing of the real world, and it doesnt sound like you ever will if mummy and daddy will take care of you. im not saying ive done everything, but i dare say ive seen more than you have. being older might not make you smarter, but neither does having parents with money, or going to a fancy school, or driving a fancy car, or wearing fancy pants....its just that older people have had experience.

when i was 16, i thought id never stop skateboarding, i was sponsered and doing well... i never thought id turn to hate my friends, and i never thought about what i wanted to do when i was older. my dad told me that soon id hang the board up, and id grow tired of my friends antics.... i wish i had've listened to him then. even though im only 5 yrs older, i know what its like to be all ages through 15-21... thats something only growing up can teach you. how i wish i were 14-15 again.....being older sucks.

i think you shouldnt be given a golf at 16, so yes, wait till your 20. do a search on google, seems others have found info, why did you have to post up here that you parents want to buy you a golf. why not just post, what are golfs like? any specs?? why did you have to write that your parents are buying it for you, thats totally unnecessary....learn some tact. oh thats right, your only 16 rich boy, you have no tact.

Yea Im soo sory dude, I will think about how you all feel about the topic before I post up next time? Oh oh, maybe I should start a poll before I start new threads and I will see what name suits you all. Would that idea suit you? Im soo sorry it will never happen again.

As I have previously stated. If you dont have any information. DONT POST. What do you continue to do? POST!

Honestly how can you be bothered writing an essay on someone else, that you don't even know! Get over it already man.

OC: Welcome to the lonely life of being wealthy at a young age :)

umm being wealthy at a young age would be more appropriate to someone who has made there own money, and not scabbed it off their parents... He is not wealthy, his parents are...

That doesn't make sense.

If a person's parents are wealthy, then so are they, assuming that they are still dependent and haven't been disowned.

Essentially, this is what you have just said: "He's not wealthy....his parents are."

That sounds like a very jealous statement, yet you don't even know him. If he has money good for him, if he doesn't that's his loss, no point turning green with envy in front of the computer screen.

Whats the difference since he sounds like the kind of person that would still be scabbing money from his parents when he is a adult anywayz. Sounds like he doesnt even go to school at 16. Says it all.

Ummm nuh im not jealous, i got enough money as i stand anywayz. I just dont go around bragging in peoples faces about it...

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
    • Welcome! New member myself, but I had an R33 back in 2002. Best advice I could give, based on my experience: if you're running the factory turbo, be very conservative with boost. I made the mistake of just fiddling around with the boost controller and cranking the boost for fun, and the end result was my intake pipes popping off frequently from the constant deluge of oil that was being blown into the recirc by the stressed-out turbo, which itself was siphoning oil from the engine and farting it out both sides of its centre bearing (or something to that effect). If I could do it all again, I would have gotten a new turbo and had a tune dialled in professionally and then just left it alone! Funny you mention the metal shavings in the gearbox, as I had the same thing - the probe plug (magnetic drain plug, essentially) would come out caked with shavings. At least it was doing its job. Not sure if that's just sacrificial wear and part of the deal, or if my gearbox was shagged, but I wasn't abusing it. Enjoy the R33 - they're a dying breed, and if they weren't $35k+ on CarSales in Queensland, I might have picked up one of those again, instead of the 370GT I own now (though I'm loving the 370GT, that big 3.7L V6 just hits different).
    • Howdy folks. I owned an R33 back in 2002, which was thoroughly beyond my capacity (financially speaking) to maintain/insure, so we parted ways in 2004. Fast forward 21 years (to literally yesterday, in fact) and I'm now the proud owner of a 2007 V36 370GT. I'm happily surprised by how much power the VQ37VHR makes, compared to the RB25DET, considering the latter is turbocharged. I had planned to add a turbo at some point but I'm on the fence about whether I'll even need it (though I do love the sudden onset of extra torque). Any other 370GT owners around the traps, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this car (good and bad).
    • Perhaps the answer is... more jacks!* *proper jacks must be used.
    • I NEVER think about using a scissor jack unless there is absolutely no other alternative. f**king things are dangerous, annoying and stupid.
