Not sure on most of this yet Ben. I am awaiting a second reply. From the pictures I have..... It is a complete T series box with adapter and standard gtr transfer case bolted on. It looks like they are setting up the shifter with a linkage, using the T56 shifter on the GTR position. I assume the following .... Use a quicktime bellhousing. Will be GM spline , I imagine usual T56 clutch slave options. Same as T56 rwd RB combos. I have the following questions also .... Will it fit in the tunnel. What length will it be. @BK Please tell me what bolt in options you are thinking of that can hold 800+HP with a Synchro ? Only options I know of are OS Gearsets (About 8K once you source box, sync and have built) Used Getrag (12k) - who knows how thrashed it is and rebuilds are damn hard. PAR / PPG ? None end up all that cheap. With this you have a brand new box, range of config options and current aftermarket support. Its one of the strongest synchro box's ever made. That all said, price might come back at 20k, so price has to be at the right mark !

So i contacted malwood. They do indeed do this combo(I have pics). Looks like they sell complete box only and not an adapter by itself. I have asked for pricing. Could be a really interesting option compared to a used getrag if priced well.

Using this you will have an SFI spec bellhousing solving one of the issues that I have no idea how some of the "street drag" manual gtrs get around. Obviously those that go auto have no issue. https://www.jegs.com/i/Quick-Time-Bellhousing/698/RM-7011/10002/-1

You can get a bellhousing of shelf for RB. 4wd conversion exist for chevs but are on the wrong side. Finding a 1000hp syncro box is not an easy thing.

Butters replied to Woojen's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain

Amateur racing - Cheap Car Challenge & Lemons
Butters replied to PranK's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Was just about to say the same as Tobz. Lemons is a cheap car but safety kit kills the budget. On top of what he listed also have money for helmet, race suit etc depending on your tracks requirements. Those items in spec and in date can add up also, specially with a team of 4 that are all different sizes. -
R33 gtr gearbox upgrades?
Butters replied to Woojen's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Ok... So why does it seem hard to get details on the cost to maintain the dog box's ? I read very mixed info of needing new dogs every 5k, some to most gears seem to have dogs built in, so your buying a full gear. Almost no on advertises the cost of gears and you feel like your wasting peoples time to call when you are in options mode. A real street car in my mind is going to do 10,000k a year and your looking at one or two gearbox overhauls ? At xx price ? -

r34 gtr has different diameter front caliper bolts, so that statement is not correct -
The roll over on top is most likely some wheel spin, the roller dyno in rwd often does that. Put it on a hub and you will see a different curve.

For Those Running Nismo Coppermix Twin.....
Butters replied to Goombeh's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've held 700rwhp. Ran drag slicks on 600rwhp 1.3 60fts BUT it was in a very light S13. After 8 years of abuse it started to slip. New plates in it and its going strong in a 4wd car now. I do love how quite they are too, perfect street car clutch. You get over the twin plate rattle quick when your picking your kids up from school and people just think your car is broken. -

Lolz beat me to it by a second -
The lack of data points and proper testing on these turbos makes me really suspicious. They show a before and after boost curves with no rpm or road speed line to compare Plus went a really big housing for the small 2.6 and didn't test the smaller one as suggested.

Seems very quite for a hollinger ? Bored out to 3L ... ammmm -
What is the boost at ? I was thinking about going the g30-900 but it looks like the 770 will get my power goals as I will be on E85. Do you know if the G30 and G35 same size inlet v-band ?
-
Taking what I can from that graph. You are looking at ~150rpm faster spool and ~25 more hp once on boost ? Also thanks for sharing, so little data around at the moment

G30-770 vs PT6062 on Street RB26. Or Other ?
Butters replied to Butters's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Any examples on hand ? Google gives me US dyno results from 480-750rwhp and none on a nissan. Always so hard with American dyno's to actually know what power that really is, not yet seen a 1/4 mph to get an idea. -
Compression test results. Bad or still ok?
Butters replied to erazor.'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I've seen some big variances in gauges, specially with so many "quality" ones getting around. I've had the same motor on the same day read 125avg on one gauge and 165avg on another. Knowing your gauge and then looking for consistency is the key. It's not common that all cylinders read low. -
G30-770 vs PT6062 on Street RB26. Or Other ?
Butters replied to Butters's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Not got the manifold as yet so flange choice is open. T4 split would be nice as it gives the most options but I do release the G30 is v-band only at the moment. -
G30-770 vs PT6062 on Street RB26. Or Other ?
Butters replied to Butters's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Guess I would be looking at an EFR 8374 to make this sort of power ? -
So I have a Nissan Cefiro with an RB26. It is my daily drive and I take the kids in it often. I'd like a turbo setup that gives me 500-600rwhp on e85 but has great response and power in the lower rpm range. At the moment these two turbos look like the best options, i welcome others. My current thoughts are I have used Garrett for 15+ years and they have been nothing but excellent. I have seen a lot of people having issues with precision's but its hard to call as they are often on full race cars that replace pistons as often as they do turbos. The lack of water cooling on the precision worries me too as I will be doing runs to the shops, not sitting idling but shutting off. The precision's seem to consistently out perform the garrets though in both spool and outright power. Garrets GTX range seems barely an upgrade from the GT range. I have seen good results on the G25 -550 but very average ones on the G25-660 and nothing really so far on the G30.

Something is wrong but its not the intercooler. I have a stock r32 rb26 making 245rwkw on e85(12psi). And an rb26 with single turbo making 520rwkw(26psi) with the stock r32 gtr intercooler. I would be doing check for boost leaks, rag in the intercooler piping, timing off , timing belt off and compression on motor. Even on pump fuel 20psi with those turbos should be a lot more. Oh and double check you actually have gt-ss turbo's I'd also consider another tuner, specially if he offered to sell you an intercooler
-
Yep, pump gas and big intake temps on last run. Overall seems like a disappointing result for 25psi but so used to seeing E85 figures these days you forget how much u98 robs you.
