350Z/Z33 diff ratio into R33 R200
Butters replied to Slidewayzzz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Neat gearbox's make ratios. I have a 350z diff in an r33 frame in an s13 .... haha The offset front bushes worked a treat. The rear housing ones not so much. I think a custom rear cover with two bolts would be the best way, with correct alignment for the r33 style holes. Oh and for awareness also, I learned there are at LEAST 2 types of 350z diff housings, given the wide spread of ratio's the offset is different in the front to accomodate different sized pinions. -
ATS Carbon Silent Twin - Anyone Used ?
Butters replied to Butters's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Oh bummer, I missed the push conversion notes ! As for pricing, seen the price for R34 GTR stuff lately ... haha -
I have been searching for a clutch that ticks all the box's. I found RPS make these for the supra - https://www.realstreetperformance.com/rps-carbon-triple-disc-carbon-9-3-inch-steel-flywheel-2jz-gte-supra-getrag-v160.html Big HP Streetable NO RATTLES Getrag friendly Light / stock pedal. Pull Type. I have spoken to real street and they said they would be interested in collaborating with RPS to make a BNR34 version if we have 5+ orders. I might be dreaming but would there be others here interested in such an item ?

ATS Carbon Silent Twin - Anyone Used ?
Butters replied to Butters's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I rang ACS, they no longer do carbon clutches, only something called a carbon button. Everything they sell rattles though. Also have to do pull to push conversion. Hunting down a dual mass flywheel to go with ATS silent carbon twin is next challenge. -
ATS Carbon Silent Twin - Anyone Used ?

So the stories of people trashing them on install are a thing of past now ? Should I expect much slip ? -
ATS Carbon Silent Twin - Anyone Used ?
Butters replied to Butters's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I've spoken to a couple already (the better known and recommended in aus) and found them to not very helpful thus far. I have a direct clutch in my race car and whilst its great in that, it is so far from what I want for my street car its not funny. I am not aware of any Aus that make a silent clutch ? -
Doing a R34 Getrag conversion in my Cefiro. Looking at two clutch options the above ATS twin carbon silent and a Nismo Coppermix twin. Currently have the push version of the Nismo coppermix(680ps) and found it started to slip around 700hp at wheels. I also find it is a bit heavy on the foot(i've had a leg operation and due another). The pull version is rated to 780ps On paper the ATS silent carbon twin ticks all the box's. 900ps rating using factory dual mass silent operation. light pedal. I read through the threads though on the carbon clutches and no shortage of stories of people pulling them out. They are all from 2006 to 2014 though. This is a new(ish) clutch by ATS , wondering if anyone has used ? is it any better ? does it suit the street as claimed ?

Had no issue making 700rwhp on stock head , stock cams, stock intake on stock 100k bottom end. Does have head gasket and studs now. Fairly confident that I am at the limit of the stock valve springs, pushing more boost made it do funny things.

Do I have enough for 11second quarter?
Butters replied to Stu_bnr32's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Guessing you guys didn't watch the video ? 120mph should get you into the 11's Your 60ft sucks though, tyres / track or launch. Ideally you should be in 1.7 range with that power and mph. -

Butters replied to martym10's topic in For Sale (Business Traders)
Looking at website, they don't list GTR but others are 60,000 CZK to 120,000CZK. One could "guess" 6k aud ish ? -
I am running TriboDyn in all my gearbox's now and so far working really well. Quietened down a gtr box with noisy bearing and it didn't like to shift great when cold. It has saved me from pulling it out and been going 2 years now. Also going fine in my syncro OS giken box 2years later.

RB26 turbo choice, downgrade less lag
Butters replied to mrpav's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Weird ... my old pre gen label gt35 with .82 has 20psi at 4300rpm. T3 open scroll. Have you played with cam gear timing ? -
Grant - https://www.facebook.com/gsautoworksau/ for mechanical work. Rob Turner also does top work and will tune also. Both shops get very busy though and often cost a bit more due to the fact only quality leaves. Then as I said Hyperdrive a great option for tuning.
-
So thoughts on the g35-1050 rating then ? What do you think is a real rating Hawkins rear wheel I think was 880hp with the g35-1050 and that was with the biggest rear housing.

1988 cars and some very early 1989 brought in under 15 year old rule before axed did not get compliance plates. Only vin. What year is it ?
-
Hyperdrive have tuned my RB26 for the last 13 years. Stock motor making 600rear still going strong. Andy can get pretty busy but know's his Nissans. Tunes all the usual too, powerFC, link, nistune, haltech, motec etc etc

PAR gearset fo street gtr's
Butters replied to denisgtr's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
How is the pedal pressure on the foot compared to stock and say nismo twin ? Also do they rattle like tin cans ? -
I am just a bit cautious around the hype. These Nissans been making good power for a long time on some pretty basic ecus. Seems you get crapped on if you don't drop $4k on an ECU and all the setup. In some ways I regret doing it, its money that could have gone into other area's. I don't have flex or launch setup yet, maybe when i do I'll see more value from it.

Cool, no argument there, the extra feature set is nice. You just suggested he would get a better result. The only thing in the list above that could do that really is the tuning resolution, which makes a very small difference on a simple engine, my opinion ... not fact 12 years, 100s of drag passes, lots of events, stock motor from 1990 challenges your reliability statement a bit To be fair to you i do have a dash with logging, warning etc.
