This is a screenshot from nankang uk about recommended hot pressures for various weight ranges. I've found the recommendation pretty accurate for skyboats and didn't achieve much by reducing pressure too much. Z221 is a much better tyre,in a different league really but so is the price. Gotta pay to play I suppose. Link to site https://www.nankangtyre.co.uk/products/motorsport/ar-1/ for anyone interested.

Z221 FTW If you go out on the Ar1 again, resist the temptation and leave them at 35-36.

What hot pressures where you running Johnny? I've found they like 34-36 hot in a skyboat. Ive run them as low as 31, all that did was make the fastest lap times come later in the session. My pb was done on lap 8 when the pressures where at their peak. Im on my second set of AR1 now. Sure they're not as quick as an A050 or z221, about 1 second slower from what others that have used both have reported but the bang for buck is very high. I paid $205 fitted for the first set and $235 for the 2nd for 265/35/18. Unfortunately the second set has not yielded better times than the first due to being 1.5 year old stock. It's like food, gotta be fresh. There was a version 2 that was released late last year, i didn't know that when i was looking to buy (could have waited) nobody had stock so i bought what i could get and yeah they weren't fresh ?. Crusty v1's. Im still happy with them, id probably only buy something else if it was slicks or a really good deal on Hankooks or Yokos. FYI Ad08r will not cut it. Its a step back.

What pads are you using Duncan?

Don't 370Z's have akebono brakes, do they bolt up directly? I know guys have put them on m35's. Just not sure if they're direct fit.

That looks like it's eaten something. Must've been hungry.

Probably just that store. Bob jane in Dandenong fitted 265/35/18 on my 18 x 9 and supplied ad08r at an unbelievable price. Bob jane can be good, sometimes.

LTA is all the rage these days.

As above, i dont see an issue with 95. Id start panicking over 110. In saying all that, it shouldn't get to 100. Let it go for longer next time and see if it eventually stops rising. 110 would be my cut off temp.

Damn, how else am i going to find out about these things without actually asking..? -
Man, you should buy or borrow some stockies for the dyno sesh. Need to get max internet bragging points.

Just stay out of 3rd gear, she'll be right. Otherwise, i have a brand spanking new in box r34gtt gearbox sitting in my shed that may or may not be for sale. Actually, i better hold onto it.

Probably better off trying the redline mt90 and add some nulon smooth shift. If it's still no good, then the only ither options are a rebuild or replacement gearbox.

The bigger question is, does it dose?

MLR's Bogan cruise ship
admS15 replied to The Bogan's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
To achieve max bogan spec, you need to post skid vid of donuts with shazza hanging her tits out of passenger window while downing a VB. Then and only then will you be able to claim that title. -
I would like to update my advice to LTA, this is what the cool kids are now doing.
