  2. I had a fuel smell coming from the drivers rear and pulled the tank out to inspect where it was coming from, turns out the breather hose from the tank to the filler neck was perished. I’m going to Japan next week and I’ll grab it while I’m there pulled the oil tank apart and started cleaning this crap out of it, some brake cleaner and rags got it looking new again
  3. Its hopefully going to actually start working on it again
  4. car is on a hoist ready to start getting work done on it again
  5. You will need custom pistons made, the combustion chamber is to modified for any off the shelf piston to give a good compression ratio
  6. more then likely but not very practical for a street car
  7. Also on the haltech the 2 triggers are the opposite to what you’d think is correct
  8. The factory alternator probably can’t keep up anymore
  9. Custom pistons or machine the crown of the 10:1 piston down
  10. Doing turbos in the car is a piece of piss, anyone that pulls and engine out to do turbos on a gtr shouldn’t be allowed to work on cars
  11. Once you’ve pulled the box, the crossmember. The drive shafts and what ever else, it would have been quicker to just pull the engine
  12. I decided to rebuild the throttle bodies because they didn’t feel smooth when you opened and closed them them when I started bit of heat to break the seal on the screws press out the shaft new bearings next to the old ones cleaning the old throttle coat off the housing and butterfly’s all clean new bearing and the bearing locks which also hold the seals in place new throttle coat applied and the new seals that I pressed in once it was all done the throttle felt a lot smoother to open and close and definitely a much better piece of mind
  13. E85 was around in Sydney before Holden built the e85 cars
  14. Welcome to euro ownership, it doesn’t matter what brand you buy, they’re all designed to last the warranty period and after that you’re either supposed to trade it in or have a big wallet for the repairs. Don’t fool yourself into thinking another European brand will be any different
  15. What the blowoff valve’s are doing is completely normal only change them if you want to throw away some money -7s are a great bolt on option and with a good exhaust, cams and fuel system on e85 makes for a very fun car
  16. I had a mate who was looking at one of their new sequentials they were going to make and when he told me the price my response was “if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is.” Sounds like that’s exactly what it is
  17. I thought yellow jackets were shitty eBay coils
