  1. Splitfire coils (direct drop in) or R35 or 370Z coil conversion kit. Don't install any coils that aren't black or blue in colour.
  2. More so he used thin wiring, that was the cause of the smoke, not the ignition barrel not being able to support the draw from a wideband o2.
  3. It's not a modern car, the ignition switch actually carries a fair amount of current through it.

  5. ummm.. not sure, it's covered in dents/rust - puts me off and I need to throw the Nissan idle control valve in the bin, and also the throttle body and go DBW.. The idle control reacts so slow and stalls sometimes with the AC on, I suspect it's filled with gunk and crap from 20 years of terrible air filters and engine blow by. But that's money I don't want to spend and time I don't have to setup the DBW lol... so it stays how it is.
  6. A year later, decided to get off my arse and update the engine number, also the 1st time I've driven it in 3 or more weeks. It's not slow aye? Got it a bit sideways then I stopped and thought, I really need to keep my license for work so gave it a few more hits now it's back in the backyard.

  9. You're over thinking it, considering there's such a low current draw in the scheme of things. But if you're committed then sure, why not.
  10. Your ECU is not proper Get a Haltech or a Link or an Adaptronic even a Nistune can go bang/wank/pop on launch and controlled too. You're able to set the exact RPM, timing and fuel compensation on launch with the Nistune. The Bee*R junk you cannot. An ECU is cheaper than a new motor.

  12. I suggest you get a proper ECU, rather than a Bee*R rev limiter which would eventually blow apart your turbo, drive train and the works. It's merely a terrible hack/interceptor for bangs and wank.

  14. I've done it to all the cars I've installed it to... how do you think gauges and race dashes, etc. are installed? (unless you go ham tits out with a PDM).
  15. All websites should be built mobile first and fully responsive so no matter at what break point you're at, it should just look normal. A forum like this doesn't need to access any native features of a mobile device and should not need an app... I find people who are hell bent on stupid apps are crApple users.. they want a stupid app for everything, and in most freaking cases most of these so called apps are literally just a web wrapper! But hey, Apple users rejoice, there's another stupid app to download. /rant lol

  19. Was windy last week and my GTR boot and spoiler hit the pavement pretty hard and door toppled over onto the car. A week later they're both in the same position lol.
  20. Don't go buying new injectors, go borrow a portable wide band o2 and actually see what's going on before you go aimlessly burn cash. If not pay some workshop $100 and run it up on a dyno and see what is going on.
  21. Just tap it off the ignition barrel (which is generally butchered up by an alarm immobilization point). Then run it to a nice fuse bus (future proofing for a dash, logger, etc.). Narva make fuse buses that hold 5x blade fuses with a clear lid with 2x legs so you're able to neatly surface mount it.
  22. whilst you're at it, can you reduce/merge the amount of subforums? I've put together a structure before that worked, however wasn't reviewed or actioned
