We have only been playing with gtrs for 30 years and build the best in the world, what would we know? -

R33 GTR Rebuild + Upgrading
UWISSH! replied to oSkylines's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
While the engine is out, it would be best advised to upgrade the front diff while the engine is out. I would suggest that u also fit a larger sump at this point. you want to do all that you possibly can to the engine while it’s out to avoid having to pull it out again to do things u missed. there will also be heaps of small little things that will add up in price like gaskets and hoses that u won’t really think of until the engine is out and start re assembly -
Sorry but WTF is that merge collector 😳😳😳 I sincerely hope that u got that for free or basically free. I can’t see that working out for you. The most hassle free way to fix it is to take it off and buy something better.

R32 GTR clutch (twin plate va tripple plate)
UWISSH! replied to timmy94's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I never had an issue with my super copper mix twin competition clutch. was absolutely great to use as a daily for over 2 years -
1999 VSPEC Series 1 R34 GTR VSPEC vs 2001 Base Series 2 R34 GTR
UWISSH! replied to MK80's topic in Introduce yourself
Ultimately it comes down to what u want. you are the one that’s going to spend $200k + on a car. Why would it matter what other people’s opinions are unless you are just worried about future re sale or internet clout. I would personally just be finding the best condition example within my budget. -
R33 GTR bumper on GTST pics?
UWISSH! replied to jacobzking's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I’m guessing he wants it so he can tell his mates he has a genuine GTR bar. It’s not a tad wider, it’s a lot wider. iI will not fit. Period -
Do you already have a good full exhaust system? will you need new coil packs? cam gears? also think about a new clutch to hold the extra power. what injectors and fuel pump are you going to use? what fuel will you be running? upgraded bov? and waste gate if going externally gated. Extra fab work and lines for said gate thats just a couple things to take into consideration.

Dyno Results for HKS GT III - SS Sports Turbo - Twins
UWISSH! replied to Sinista32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Again if that was your power target why did u choose a turbo that is suited to 500+kw? u didn’t need 8374 to rev past 8k when I originally had 2530s back in 2009 I was able to rev my engine to 9k happily.seems like u had no proper guidance from the start and I’m not surprised that ur unhappy with how a 800hp+ turbo is driving at only 15psi -

UWISSH! replied to Sinista32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That 8374 was an absolute terrible choice for a complete stock engine. Who on earth told u that it was a good idea? -
Thank god for the laptop in the passenger seat. fuse box is going to be minimum 40kw. gt3582 what? what size exhaust? what sort of manifold? What fuel? how long is a piece of string? seriously search the dyno results thread. Things like this have been covered many times before

From memory everything under the headlights on n r33 gtst is interchangeable Only the headlights, grill, bonnet & guards that are different
-
Was only a matter of time before it happened. I have watched the videos over the years and there have been a couple close calls. very lucky he had all the right safety gear
-
Is that 45-55 including all import and broker charges? then factor in if it’s got a lot of problems that need fixing before rego and compliance. If it’s garbage and still needs lots of work then the ones that start at $70k and are already registered don’t look so bad. Plus you can inspect the car yourself before handling over your hard earned cash

Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines
UWISSH! replied to Sydneykid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I see 3 pics of a gun metal r32 with panasport rims so I don’t see a reason why he also needs to mention what car they are on. have you tried using any of the tyre/ rim calculators then going out to your car to take measurements? -

R33 gtst big brake upgrade
UWISSH! replied to Lawlessdarkness's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Not sure about this kit but I know other brake kits have had a template that you were able to print out to check it against your wheels to see if you have the correct clearance 18” wheels will clear a lot of brakes but offset and spoke design also play a huge part -
insurance for toyota crown athlete 2008 (new driver)
UWISSH! replied to newbie2022's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Have u tried calling any at all to find out? -
100% not genuine. it’s missing the centre piece that holds the gtr logo on
-
Doubt it’s genuine. From memory the genuine grill has guide/ tabs that help it line up with the front bar on the underside of it
-
This is stupid either do the whole lot- guards, gaurd raisers, bonnet, grill and front bar or don’t do it at all. the gtst is narrower than a gtr. If u heat bend the gtr bar around it’s going to end up going past the wheel arch line and your either going to have to trim it back or leave it with a stupid step between the wheel arch and front bumper i don’t even remember the grill being a direct swap over. you are honestly better off buying a gtr style bar made to fit a gtst from a reputable business. you are going to butcher a perfectly good expensive front bumper
