  1. Mate nooo, don't touch the throttles bodies They have a teflon lining that seals the throttle butterfly and if you take that off it will idle high, like 1500-2000rpm, and is a PITA to fix
  2. these look impressive on a 2.6 can't wait to see how they go on a 3.0
  3. Timing scatter at high RPM due to the longer timing belt, this is the problem when an engine is controlled by what is realistically a rubber band My advise now is DO NOT push this engine till the problem is confirmed just in case cause timing scatter can cause big problems
  4. Those where the pics i've been looking forDoesn't look like it has a trigger wheel Factory CAS could very well be the issue I hope not but I've seen it to many times
  5. I just assumed it had one already due to the level of the build it really should have it, but after a few PMs with Pete I am now wondering which is why i posted it out here just in case i have missed weather or not it has it
  6. So do you have a pic of the harmonic balancer ? Cause if it is in fact controlled by the factory CAS that could be the issue
  7. Oh mate don't be mistaken, this isn't your fault CRD have done every thing to this car and the 3.5" dump and good cat should have been done or at very very least talked to you about when the 6262 was fitted Your setup is what i would consider the perfect setup for a R34 GTR, even better if RB26 block based for fitment, and what the R34 GTR should have had from factory or at very least a 3.0 with twin -5s
  8. Lucky we are in NSW thn I agree this build has fallen short on what it should be making in both power and response, fixing the exhaust will help that a lot Spending some time dialing the cam will help to, i have seen results from these cams on smaller engine and the inital take iff is way better then this build And my own personal opinon from my experiance with CRD is get someone else to tune it if your happy with their next try
  9. http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/documents/roads/safety-rules/standards/vsi-06-light-vehicle-modifications.pdf 2 seconds on google
  10. I have some Nismo S tune coilovers i no longer need if your interested
  11. Personally I would use the NOS to get the car off the line while helping to build boost, have it set to start the NOS at a preset throttle position then a boost switch to turn it off once boost is where you want it, if set up right you can also use it to regain boost after gear changes This can all be set up easier through a good ECU using the inputs that are already in play
  12. I have Nismo R tunes ( Ohlins Flag Rs ) i bought of Piggaz that i changed the spring rates on and played with the bound and rebound setting and i can't complain about them, i think they are pretty good, they don't rattle and they absorb the bumps really well given the suspension travel these cars have or lack there of
  13. The 460 on pump should cover alot more then this IF rewired properly What injectors do you have ? Twin fuel rail ? Or twin entry fuel rail ?
  14. What he said Looking forward to some times
  15. The factory pump off my 2001 R34 GTR V spec II I binned the RB30 one with everything else that was attached to the part i wanted , but it was exactly the same as this, i know this cause i put all 3 side by side due to this same discussion which has been had many times
  16. I sat my N1 water pump next to my stock R34 GTR pump and the water pump off the RB30 and the only difference between the 3 is the cavitation plate on the N1, all 3 have the same number of fins, same size of fins and same shape fins so how exactly does the N1 flow less ?
  17. How much for just turbos and manifolds with EGTs
  18. Anything that helps balance the pressure between crankcase and head is a good thing, i run a -16 line from block to back of head If you can get them to line up then yeah standard marks are fine, the mark on the oil pump is TDC and the marks on the backing plate are for the 26 cams at TDC Windage trays are nice to have but not necessary, i dont have them and see no ill effects from it
  19. Yes, though i have never actually broken a box Clutchs on the other hand, i hate them farkers
  20. Or just envious cause could never afford one
  21. Drop a LS1 in it, then you will have a heap of torque
  22. I destroyed 5 brass buttons in 2 years due to the torque and everyone of them had a friction point The distance between off and on was very very small though
