  1. I thought for sure someone would know this, any chance someone with an R34 GTR can unplug a coil turn ignition on and read the 3 pins, when looking at the plug the center one is 0v-earth, I need to know the two out side ones, cheers
  2. lift, go for lift, 260 x 10.8mm procams, or since your in Sydney run over to Unigroup and have a chat about the cams they have, I believe they have a set that are 260 x 10.8 also but with a sharper ramp rate
  3. Does anyone know if the R34 GTR coils are 5v or 12v trigger ?
  4. Tyres, the Acilles 123Rs are hard to beat value for money or if you want full semis then the 050s or Z221 Hankooks Suspension, pm Piggaz. He has just gone through all of the suspension dynamics for his R33 GTR and got a custom set of Bilstiens built
  5. Not yet, still have to have it tuned, the car did a 1.09 on the old setup but with some more correction of the setup and better suspension and tyres I think a high 1.06 wasn't out of the question, with this setup I would like/hope to see a flat minute which I believe will be possible once it all finished
  6. Quick question, mostly cause I'm to lazy to actually go and check The TPS on my GTRs both have what look to be the same one, but the 34 only has one of the two plugs connected where the 32 has both, I have upgraded the computer on the 34 but the computer doesn't have an output for the ATTESA so they share the same signal from the TPS like the ViPec/link do, I have a R32 GTR wiring loom spare So my question is if I cut the plug out of the 32 loom and plugged it to the second plug on the TPS in the 34 and wire it in will it give a signal or is it disconnected internally ?
  7. ok so after 8 hours of driving, I finally got home had a long hot shower and a nana nap and feel almost normal again I have to say a big thank you to everyone, the organizers for such a great day and everyone that made me feel very welcome while I was there and the courses are just insane, can not wait to come back The high light for me though was the saturday night dinner, I haven't laughed so hard in a long time bring on some pics and vids, I imagine there will be some really good ones

    Dead Gtr 34

that makes me very sad, RIP you poor R34 GTR I hope the poor owner was not in it at the time
  9. I have/had two 26s, one in my 32 and one was in my 34, the 32 is stupid responsive and the 34 was quite laggy given its setup( to my standards anyway), I have/do track both cars and the better response is MUCH easier to control and much more predictable and is unbelievably easier to drive at normal street speeds, both where making within 20rwkw of each other and the 34 transitioning on to boost later in the rev range was alot harder to control coming onto boost at pace and no where near as nice to drive on the street I have since built a 2630 for the 34 and have done so for a reason, if you are so worried about breaking drive lines then best you don't modify your car at all or even drive it hard cause any of that increases the chance of breaking stuff, a bit of mechanical symphony goes a long way as does knowledge of changing gears correctly anyone that does modify there car like Paul, myself and many many others have, all realise that at some point the driveline is going to need the same sort of upgrading the engine got
  10. only just saw this, when I fitted mine the fuel light was on, fitted it the put direct power to it from battery and pumped out the last of the fuel, no probs, but I am running a 9 liter surge tank now and the walbro is just to feed it the GT-T cradle would be a good idea but looking at it it doesn't look like it would fit so you would most likely need the whole tank if the nismo is going to supply your fuel needs then that would be the way to go, just a tip the nismo pump is a factory TT supra pump the first Walbro turbine pumps have issues with the pin holes not being submerged but it was my understanding/i 'd been led to believe that this had been fixed with the new E85 ones
  11. I believe he is in Vic ATM for DECA this weekend, what revs does it sit on at 110 go on Paulie get the OS88, you know deep down you want it, and then I can take it for a drive and see if I want one
  12. I could do that hey, still in then, just gotta renew my licenses
  13. sorry to say but I'm having to pull out to, still can not get the computer to start the car and the tuner left today for Sema till the 18th of nov was so looking forward to this, might still come down with Paulie for some good old fashion drinking though
  14. Is that why the 3 Audi TDIs took the first three positions in qualifying
  15. The load point is the flat section between the two half circle cut outs, if you look at the factory jack it has a cut out in it which is to allow the bit that sticks down to go into, so the concept is the same for the hoist, make sure the bit that sticks down goes into a cut out NEVER lift from the chassis rails
  16. I did this 3 days ago, I had a Nismo pump in there already, I got the E85 pump with the rubber sock for the 255 pump cut the end off it and put it over the pump then hose clamped it to the factory location then took the fitting off the bottom of the Nismo pump and fitted it to the Walbro and refitted the factory hose to the fitting, then pushed the factory hose onto the top of the pump I soldered the two wires into the factory ones about 100mm apart heat shrink then and zip tied so the two joints can't get close to each other then I drilled a -6 bulkhead into the tank lid with hose fitting, attached the hose from the pump to that and ran the a hose from the top of that to the surge tank then two hoses from the surge tank back to the two factory tank ports
  17. sorted, motorsport connections have a speedflow fitting specific for this
  18. really depends on the officer, 3 weeks after I brought my 32 ( back in 2002) I was pulled over down the road from my house doing a U turn and after 45mins the officer says "nice car but I better get back to work", really nice guy, the next night a police car goes past me in the other direction, he pulls over and does a U turn, I figure he's coming for me so I pull over to wait for him, he pulls in in front of me and then I get in to a heated discussion about how legal the factory head lights on the car are with him, complete cock 5 years later, I passed a police car leaving my area, 1km up the road sitting on the speed limit I see a car catching me at a massive rate, it pulls up behind me turn the blue and red lights on pulls me over, the first thing he says to me is " pretty funky tyres you have on the car, what did they cost you " I reply " $550 per tyre" he says " so you've got some money then " and precedes to defect me for the factory ride height, after kicking the lower lip on the front bar telling me its to low, tyres ( RE55s ) he says I'm not allowed semis even after I show him the DOT rating making them street legal, and pod filters, which he says are a fire risk from fuel fumes I am always nice and polite to officers till they start pulling out BS and I know they are going to give me a defect any way
  19. I have a nismo fuel pump for sale now as well $200 bare
  20. yeah 25 amp system min for the Walbro E85 pump, 20amp will melt pretty quick if you have a higher then normal base pressure I'm doing two electrical systems at the moment 25amp for the walbro 416 lift pump 40amp for the Weldon 2025 pressure pump
  21. yeah def 1/8 bsp, and yeah back motorsport connections I go, pissed as I was there yesterday and will be going there twice this week now due to not getting the surge tank back till wednesday so cant get fittings to go from surge to weldon pump till after I get the tank back
  22. does anyone know what the tread is on the standard oil pressure sender, 1/8 bsp or 1/8 npt ? I brought a motec/honeywell oil pressure sender ( 1/8npt ) for the new computer and it will not fit the factory location in the 30 block, there is .3mm difference between the factory sensor and the Motec one where they start there threads any ideas on size or what can be done to fix this problem ?
  23. the filter should only fit properly one way, I just fitted ID1300s and the extension/adaptors already came with the filter fitted but I had to fit the plugs, you need a W crimping tool to crimp the pins properly I just cut the old plugs off, put a hose on the top of the filter into a bucket then run power to the plug at the top of the tank and pump it out the other thing I did was break off the little black ring below the O-ring as I found that was hitting the manifold before the O-ring seated properly will going from 800s to 1000s make that much of a difference, couldn't you just bump up the fuel pressure
