$$ Spun Rod Bearing In Fully Built Rb30 :(
XKLABA replied to ZT-R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
there is no way they made there way into the head passed the restrictors so what ever they are they started in the head, or where left in the head when being built there is nothing I can think of that goes in the head that that could be, even a broken spring would be roundish, but check any way but id say that is your problem, pull pump apart and make sure here is nothing in it and wash all the oil lines -
R32 Gtr --- Price Drop $8500
XKLABA replied to psikazi's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
$8500 for a registered 93 model GTR in reasonably good condition just needing a motor rebuild, good price People that have a problem with what some is asking should just move along, if you don't like the price you don't have to buy it If I had of seen it sooner there is a good chance it would be on its way to mine by now Congrats on sale mate -

don't muck around, if you want a 30 bottom end contact RIPS, I did all the spanner work on my one myself and I reckon I saved maybe $2000 from the quote I was given from them, but the messing around wasn't worth it then drop your head on it and enjoy -

i'm going to finish this one then build the high deck over time using the factory block i'm using the platinum sump adapter which is 1/2" thick leaving 5-6mm between sump and cross member and no possible way of using bottom gearbox bolts i lowered the cross member 8mm, used RB25 piston shaving block down to 0 deck height and cant fit standard strut brace without washers lifting it up to clear twin turbo pipe and had to space bonnet up to clear catch can that sits on top of engine they are i'm just anal about how things fit and go back together and as I use this car for track use these are thing I want to be spot on so I know when I go full on through a corner I don't have in the back of my mind some thing that might go wrong -

I've only ever seen it on the firewall, factory 30 engine number, unless they know what to look for they can't really tell it's a 30 look at a high deck kit and use the factory 26 block, I have nearly finished a RB2630 build in my 34 and am looking at pulling it out and doing a high deck setup for clearance reasons -
1994 R32 Gtr - Stock To ~320Kw.
XKLABA replied to Ambi3nce's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
this, it is easier to take motor out to change turbos so while it's out do this /\ /\ and this \/ \/ -9s( port match manifold to turbos) cam gears - stock cams injectors( for that power ID1000s are plenty) Nismo FPR Walbro intank twin plate clutch, i use and recommend the Excedy twin, any single plate in a GTR with that power is never going to have a long happy life stock radiator is fine as long as it's clean and in good order stock R32 intercooler is also fine ECU is tuner pref, find a tuner that you see eye to eye with then ask what he prefers to tune or thinks will work best with your setup R32 GTR dump pipes are CRAP, 33 and 34s are much better, find a good set of dumps the match front pipes that end in 3.5" then 3.5" cat ( the Venom one has 5" body which flows really good ) and a good 3.5" catback if you can find one without any restrictions otherwise a local custom one will give good results factory internals are fine up to 22psi/350rwkws if tuned properly IMO, especially on E85, engine longevity comes down to driver more then power I've always liked GTRs in white doesn't matter which model they all look good in it just wish I had of brought a white 32 instead of my black one -
that was the 20th of May ( 2 and 1/2 months ago ) offering me a item from the next GB to the value of $100, there has been no such GB nor any contact regarding the replacement of the item I've already paid for from the first GB since then there is nothing more I want other then the part I'm waiting for
-
any chance this has been done, its been 4 months now and still nothing

Manuel Kasko 33 Build/journey
XKLABA replied to Manuel Kasko's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Those rims look heeeeaps better, interesting read $500 to change a rwd clutch, wow shits dear down there, the clutch in my 32 GTR cost that and that was a clutch shop, I had to do it 5 time in 3 years but that's a different story -
Is it tri-pass or triple core ? If tri-pass I would like a pic and a ruff price if you don't mind and how did you run the bottom radiator hose as the third pass would put it on the passengers side The problem with thick radiators is they flow to well and with both inlet and out let on same side the water goes in the top and straight down and out the bottom and not spreading across the core. If your clean factory radiator Is over heating then I'd say you have a issue some where else

could there be a possible air leak in the external pickup to the pump or where it connects to the pump I've done an external pickup on my 26/30 as well and went to great lengths to make sure there are no possible leaks especially in the fittings this is really just an idea for something to look at, the external pickup IMO is a better way to do it on a rb2630 -
Like I said I never got a clear lap in the 34, the 32 on the other hand I got EC to myself for a whole day and lots of lapping was involved as well as two tank fullsThe 32 is just a bulldog of a car with instant useable boost any where over 2000rpm and no down time in boost between gears, a prime example of what happens we you get a mix of parts that work together Even the fastest track has a few tight corners, EC it's 2-9-11, with 4-5-6/7 slowing you down, all of which show lag for what it is
-
I never got a clean run at EC in the 34, but the 34 was 9 secs off the 32 with what it did get The most time is lost through corners, better exit speed/acceleration means more/higher speed you have along the straight
