The computer I have has a fuel pump strategy already built in but it runs though the fuel or IGN out puts as a PWM I have had a email from Jim at weldon telling me it will not take a PWM input an I don't have any analog outputs left( I don't think anyway) so what I was looking at doing is getting a 12v map sensor as the reference input instead of the potentiometer then have the computer set a 12v output to turn on "race" mode when the car goes over 21psi boost ( low boost is 19-20 )

I got a patch loom with it

Have a look at Syvecs, I'm running the S8 on my 34 GTR street car http://www.syvecs.co.uk/ They where the first and are the most used stand alone on the R35 GTR and the ECU that comes with the alpha kit Just another option
-
Yeah mate, no boost ?

I washed my engine once, 4WD just went a big mud hole, idled fine but as soon as I put load on the motor the coil lead arced to the head by passing the plugs and it was going no where, that's why I suggested it and since it has only been happening since his dad washed the motor it sounded familiar

Ok so I have brought a Weldon speed pump controller to try and quieten down my Weldon 2025 pump The controller says it is PWM controlled but the wiring diagram shows it as a closed circuit with a POT dial to preset pump speed and a toggle switch for race mod I want to hook it up to one of the spare PWM outputs of the computer and let the computer run the controller automatically Has anyone used or hooked up the Weldon 14000 speed controller and be able to tell me which terminal on the controller to hook into for the computer output ?

What paper filter are you using, I was told to be careful when use paper filter cause the ethanol can/does eat away the "glue" that holds the filter element to the casing I'm using a speed flow 10 micron stainless sceen filter but the paper ones can go down to 5-6 micron which would be better
-
yeah and some on my setup, I have a Weldon 2025 with 50psi base and A 1:1 reg, the tuner thinks I should be able to get over 700 with them with how I have done the build, I'm also not running full E85

I have the 1300s in my car, it is hopefully getting tuned this week, RB2630 with GT-RSs, hoping for 600awhp, my tuner is removing alot of the 2000s in favour of the 1300s if the 2000s where just used cause the 1000s weren't big enough, he has said the 1300s are alot nicer for street use

I have a set, is from AFMs to turbos and twin turbos to plenum, you need to use pods for this kit though, has all hard pipes and silicone joiners, the hose clamps are crap and would require replacing I'll grab a pic and BRB

have a look down the side of your spark plugs/coils, probably has water in there

Which Would You Trust? - Dyno Chart Or Boost Gauge? Bnr34
XKLABA replied to djvoodoo's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The 34 gauge is pretty good, as said you probably run my boost on the street due to different loading The 34 turbos are different to the 32/33 one and a bit stronger, I run upto 19psi on my 32 turbos and have done so for 9 or so years, driving style has a lot to do with turbos exploding On another note I have a APexi Power FC with boost controller for R34 GTR for sale ATM -
X3, haha that is so true

ok, the transfer case mod was done just before I stopped helping, and at that time it was still 3.9, so unless they put 3.5 after I left I wouldn't know, I had to much of my own shit to take care of to keep up what was going on with them, but I'll be talking to Jeff next week so I'll ask him I know at the time they had a mod done to the back of the box so they could "dial in" preload on the transfer case and that was chewing out front CVs at slow speeds and made it interesting to turn around the parking lot unless backed off
-
Yeah they did quite a few boxes, the diffs where a custom 3.9 to take advantage of the massive torque the car made, they used std 5th for the 1st few then went the longest PPG offered I believe
-
I have always wondered how it would go if someone put 3-4mm sleeves in the bore and bring it down to 78-80mm bore reducing the amount of air the motor uses ? and what effect it would have on the limited rev range
-
yeah through BSM, Phil Coles ( drove the combined touring car ) son worked for the rat tailed liner company the only time I remember change the front diffs was to change ratios, the original car ( which ended up as the CT car ) ripped the diff housing off the sump, and not that hard to pull out and put back, the hardest part was the pinion gear IIRC the IP car made -/+ 300 rwkw, I'm yet to see a NA 30 come close to that in HP let alone torque, the box issues all but ended when they figured out what oil to run you are correct, IIRC the 27mm point has to be 50mm from the front edge of the turbo blades
-
Yeah basically, so try a setting see what you get then go higher or lower depending on what you want And your welcome
-
The setting is wastgegate plus that number, so on my 32 GTR the wastegate is 10psi + 36 on the controller gives me 15psi 103-105kpa I have both 4 & 5 and have use a puck load of other ones and I'll tell right the 4 is the easiest one to use, for me it was plug in set base boost and scramble boost, dial in the 2 settings for A and B and done
-
Ok firstly that is the four, if you google search you can get the manual, I have done it a few time for my five, the knob is flash because it has moved from the last time it was on, turn the dial up or down till it stops, it can't be changed from kpa, 100 kpa is 1 bar is 14.75psi, and if it can and you figure out how let me know so I can change my four The top button is to access the settings The second button from top changes it from A to B, if you hold it down it will reset the peak hold, the third button is scramble but you will need the manual to set that up The button is on off
-
-7s but get the .48 rear housing machined onto them, use standard cams, the BSM car was out of breath/boost by 5500rpm, so build the car to make as much boost as low in the rev range as possible to create torque, it can be done and I wish you the best, I was withe the BSM team from the start and help fabricate the car, right up till it went into sports sedans
-
And that is the truth of it, just like pushing poo up a hill
